The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W310 Digital Camera (Black) offers many features for an economically priced camera. The 12.1 Megapixel camera performs well even in low light with its High Sensitivity Mode with an ISO of 3200, and SteadyShot Image Stabilization. Fast moving subjects are not a problem since the camera can capture 1.8 frames per second. To really see your subject in motion, the camera can shoot VGA movies.
Both stills and video are composed and viewed on the 2.7" LCD display. The display is even easy to see in bright sunlight. When shooting in a tight space, the 28mm wide-angle Sony 4X optical zoom lens will let you get your shoot. Other user-friendly features include Face Detection, Smile Shutter, Intelligent Scene Recognition, and 8 scene modes.

- Face Detection technology detects up to eight individual faces and adjusts focus, exposure, and white balance to help deliver crisp, properly lit images of family and friends.
- Easy Shooting Mode
- With Easy Shooting Mode, even beginners can take great photos. In Easy Shooting Mode, easy-to-understand basic instructions are displayed on the LCD screen and the camera switches to all automatic settings, removing several function choices and allowing you to focus on just your subject. Since this mode works together with Intelligent Scene Recognition, the camera selects the optimum setting for each scene. In addition, the Easy Shooting Mode simplifies Preview Mode.

- Smile Shutter technology captures a smile the moment it happens. Simply press the Smile Shutter button and the camera does the rest. Intelligent Scene Recognition can now be used together with Smile Shutter mode when the Intelligent Auto mode is on. This means that beautiful smiles can be captured with settings optimized for the particular scene, even in difficult conditions such as twilight and backlighting.
