The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W330 Digital Camera (Silver) makes it easy to captures photos with phenomenal clarity. Built into the camera is a beginner-friendly Function Guide that helps you navigate through the various functions and settings displayed on the LCD screen. The camera's 14.1 Megapixels allow you to make really large prints. The camera performs well even in low light, with its High Sensitivity mode with an ISO of 3200 and Optical SteadyShot Image Stabilization.
Fast moving subjects are not a problem since the camera can capture 1.8 frames-per-second. This, along with Motion Detection that adjusts ISO sensitivity and increases the shutter speed when motion is detected, will help ensure that you capture the decisive moment. To really see your subject in motion, the camera can shoot VGA movies.
Both stills and video are composed and viewed on the 3.0" LCD display. Even when shooting in a tight space, the 26mm wide-angle Sony 4X zoom lens will let you get your shot. Other user-friendly features include Face Detection, Smile Shutter, In-Camera Retouching Tools, and 8 Scene Modes. The lithium-ion battery will help you take many photos before having to recharge the battery.

By incorporating advanced features such as Intelligent Scene Recognition, Face Detection technology, and SteadyShot image stabilization, iAuto mode lets you take advantage of the latest Sony Cyber-shot technology without leaving auto mode. Whether you're shooting landscapes, capturing a beautiful flower, or taking pictures at an indoor birthday party or wedding shower, iAuto mode will optimize your camera's settings to help ensure you come away with a great shot.
- Intelligent Scene Recognition (iSCN) Mode
- Intelligent Scene Recognition (iSCN) Mode automatically detects nine different types of scenes and, within just 1/30th of a second, selects the appropriate camera settings: Backlight, Backlight Portrait, Twilight, Twilight Portrait, Portrait, Landscape and Macro. iSCN has two modes: Auto and Advanced. In Auto Mode, the camera takes a single shot using the optimal settings. In Advanced Mode, the camera takes a photo with the optimal settings and, if in difficult lighting (low light or back light) immediately takes a second photo with another optimized setting so you can choose which to keep.

- SteadyShot Image Stabilization
- SteadyShot image stabilization compensates for camera shake and helps prevent blur by capturing two photos at high shutter speeds and combining them into a single clear image.
- Face Detection Technology
- Face Detection technology detects up to eight individual faces and adjusts focus, exposure, and white balance to help deliver crisp, properly lit images of family and friends.
- Smile Shutter Technology
- Smile Shutter technology captures a smile the moment it happens. Simply press the Smile Shutter button and the camera does the rest. Intelligent Scene Recognition can now be used together with Smile Shutter mode when the Intelligent Auto mode is on. This means that beautiful smiles can be captured with settings optimized for the particular scene, even in difficult conditions such as twilight and backlighting.

I bought this product to snap all my sight seeing in nyc, and the quality of the prints have turned out great. I espcially love how you can choose the automatic feature when shooting. Also another great feature of this camera, is the large screen which makes it easy to view the pictures. This it the perfect camera, for this price range. I love it :)

When framing the shot, I was disturbed by the vertical smearing of highlights on the LCD. But was pleased when viewing the final photo - no smearing. I know how and why it happens, but it is a little unsettling to see it while framing a shot.
Love the thin, fit in a pocket or purse size.
Video clips are good for what they are. This is not an HD camera, but you have two options of video sizes and the larger size will work for any web viewing.

Bought this camera to replace my Canon SD-750. Very satisfied with my decision now, though was uncertain at first. Rechargable battery is nice--and it charges pretty quickly

The Smile Capture feature did not work as well as when we tried it in the store, but its still fun to use
Not for people who are used to having a view finder
The zoom doesn't go that far
Takes a while to learn all the features, but once you figure it out, its great
Bottom line: It suited our purpose perfectly. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a small lightweight camera that takes decent pictures at a great price.
