This camera is great for casual photographers. I don't know much about photography and my pictures come out great! So even more so, if you know how to use a camera, and you are looking for a small camera to carry around, I truly recommend it, and your pictures would come out fantastic! The camera is very easy to use. The videos come out very sharp and clear. Sweep Panorama is built in, so if you have a whole scene/ field/ room... that you want to see all in one picture, all you have to do is one click of a button and turn the camera across the scenery and you have it all in one picture!!! I didn't have this camera for too long yet, but so far, the camera didn't do anything to disappoint me- except, I have the blue camera and it has one scratch on it, but because of it's color, it is very easy to notice the scratch. If it bothers you, you might want to get the silver camera; which is probably going to hide the scratches. This camera is definitely worth the price!

Pros: great video recorder.
Cons: In the EASY mode, you have to push the shutter half way down to focus. This takes too long so you never get the picture you want. There is another mode where you just push the button and it is instant but then you are not using all the great features that are in the Easy mode.
Battery the worst. Short life, 2hrs to charge, expense to buy a spare. Batt and memory compact a tiny flimsy latch that you have to open all the time. I have never had a camera where you cannot get even ten great pictures in a row. Never had that problem with an older Sony and Canon camera.

I guess I could call myself a semi-pro and the purchase of this camera took me a week of preparation reading all possible reviews in internet. After the purchase, this Sony exceeded all my expectations and the piece of camera under 200 that I carry in my pocket whenever I don't have all my gear stuffed in my backpack. It is fast, good in low-light and has all the features needed for fast and accurate shooting.

Comments about Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W350 Digital Camera (Blue):
I bought this camera as a Christmas present for my wife. This is our baby's first Christmas and I wanted my wife to take a lot of pictures of the baby. This camera is very simple to use, turns on very fast, can take quick pictures of baby's moving around quickly and a very high resalution 14.1 meg.
The setting are not very complicated for a novice user.
I'd say the only problem is that it does not come with a memory card. Had to buy a HDSD 8 gig card for 30 bucks.
Another great feature is that it uses both Sony Memory Stick and SD cards. Big pluse if you have another brand digital camera.

Comments about Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W350 Digital Camera (Blue):
Since camera phones are still not so versatile, and since "phone cameras" are mostly unavailable in my area, I needed a very small point-and-shoot to carry in my pocket on a daily basis. This is to complement my DSLR and Lumix LX2. I chose this one because of its thinness, the wide angle lens, LACK of touchscreen controls, and the really cool "sweep panorama" mode. While the image quality is not going to compete with bulkier and more expensive high-end compacts (Lumix LX series, Sony S90/95, etc), it seems nominally within the good point-and-shoot class. The thing I'm most impressed with is the sweep panorama, which I prefer to use set to "vertical wide", but still holding the camera in portrait mode and actually sweeping horizontally. This produces a better overall aspect ratio than setting it to "horizontal wide" and sweeping in landscape mode. After some initial testing, I prefer the neutral colors and control-flexibility of Program mode over the automatic mode (which tends to oversaturate colors in a way I don't personally agree with, and which always defaults to "face detection = auto", which can be inconvenient when it thinks a landscape is a face). Overall, a good value.[...]

We use this camera at work to take pictures of special occasions and magical moments. It has worked out quite well. The quality is very good and the price is right. I would prefer to have something that could zoom in a little closer but overall you can't beat the quality for the pice paid.

Great quality shoots, easy to take anywhere, really easy to use. Got this model because of the great price and wanted to be able to take it underwater--Sony has some of the cheapest underwater cases I've seen around. Also like the HD video feature.

This tiny camera is a lightweight package for catching dynamite photos and movies without carrying around pounds of equipment. My larger digicams and camcorder sit idly while this slim camera is tucked each morning into a pocket for whatever surprises the day may bring. This Sony w350 hasn't the zoom and punch best for sports and some other events, but easily captures many unexpected photo ops.

This camera has everything I need - love the features for the price. One thing I do not like is the Open/Close tab for the memory card/battery. You need to slide this tab to the closed position after you close the opening. It would be nice if it closed and locked automatically when you placed this piece over the battery/memory card.

So far this camera has been awesome. I have no complaints. The camera is so small and takes great pictures. Very good quality pics. y old casio exilim took horrible low light pics. So I bought this camera after I saw how great my sister's low light pics came out.
