I use the GoPro HD as an onboard camera for off road short course racing. I like to have a fully charged battery every time the truck heads out onto the course. I change battery out after each practice/qualifying and race sessions! I also use my GoPro HD in open desert racing, like the Baja 500 and Baja 1000. I change out the dead battery for a fully charged one when truck comes into the pits to do a driver/co-rider change, 75 gal. of fuel, full set of tires, GoPro battery change w/in 50 seconds!!!! Go...GoPro!

The worst part about the GoPro camera is its power design. They claim 2.5 hours for these batteries, but in my experience, without the LCD Bacpac, I get more like 1.5-2.0 hours (at least when running in R2 mode, which is my most common setting). They are also a bit tough to remove from the camera, with a very snug fit.
Other points of issue with power on the camera... There is no way to run power to the camera with a line when it's in its case. I understand that's about weatherproofing the camera, but it meant we needed to drill a hole in the case and then use gasket sealer on the area around where the cable fit. That rendered the case functional but permanently ugly. There should be a built-in plug hole with a rubber sealer.

We used these batteries in multiple snorkeling runs down the Campbell River in British Columbia. Their good battery life made them ideal for long runs where it was not possible to change out the battery.

These GOPRO Batteries last about 2.5 hours on the hero HD camera. Not much to say about it.

This little guy saved my life(but not really) in the field. I was at Bonnaroo 2011 capturing crowds and shows for a time lapse project and really needed the extra juice to keep the camera rolling. It hold a charge like a champ and did what it needed to do. B&H had this at a lower price than the GoPro website [...], that why B&H is the place to go for all of your media needs. Thanks B&H! I purchased this as a extra battery for my GoPro, so I would not run out of power while on vacation.
The biggest thing for me was the easy it was to order and how fast it was in getting here. Now I should have up to 3 hours or more filming

I use the GoPro as a helmet cam on long foot patrols in Afghanistan - I like to leave it on al the time in case something sudden happens. Since the battery only lasts about 2.5 hours, buy some extras!

This is the second battery I own for my HD Hero. My bicycle rides are much longer than the 2.5 hour life of a single battery. So I need more battery for longer video time. Not much else to say, it's a battery, and it works!

Comments about GoPro Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery (1100mAh):
I need enough juice to keep filming for several days without access to a charger, so I keep one battery in the camera and two spares. Go Pro Cameras really burn through batteries, so it is important to have extras just in case you get halfway through a day and the one in the camera dies.
There is nothing to fault about this battery - does what it is supposed to, which is provide juice!
The bets way to be using the GoPro cameras for multi-day is top get the optional GoPro Battery Bacpac so you can have two batteries in the housing, and then one spare as an emergency backup.

I should buy five more of these. The battery life is not so hot with the hero. Buy these. They're reasonably priced and easy to swap out.
