I think I summed it all up in the headline. This is a quality cam. For the price I paid I cannot think of any better camcorder money can buy. I can now produce HD 1080i video with great quality to watch on my TV or projection screen in the home theatre. One of the points of strength of this camcorder is it's ability to shoot excellent videos in low light conditions. It is also very easy to use and the OIS (optical image stabilization) works great. Probably the best image stabilization I've ever seen. It is also extremely easy to use and the "Auto" mode can produce superb quality videos without you taking the trouble to adjust the settings. If anythinig I would like better in this camcorder, it would be the still image resolution which is limited to 4.7 Mega Pixel. Would be nice to have a 7 MP. I honestly do not believe that there is any need for more than 7 MP since it would a burden even on a fast PC. However, the 4.7 MP still images produced by this Camcorder has very decent quality and elimiated the need for a separate device for still images. Finally, this is a great Camcorder, excellent value for money and it bypassed by far the similar category models produced by Sony and Canon especially for it's ease of use, image stabilization, and low light sensetivity. I would definitely buy it again and again.

The video looked great on my TV, but thats as far as it would go, The guys at Samsung said it would work fine with a mac, and of course they lied. I spent 5 hours working with it and all i get are error messages, I've tried to upload through Final cut, Imovie and even Iphoto and it doesnt work. It now won't even charge. I am so disappointed

After much time reading reviews I decided to purchase the h200. [...] I highly recommend this camcorder. The software works only with windows, which is a bummer, but most mac users will be smart enough to download free programs to get it to work with the mac. The camera records in 2 gb chunks (about 20 min clips). All the software does is combine those into one video. It will allow you to copy the recordings to your mac easy as plug it in and copy and paste like any usb device. One small negative is that you cannot close the viewfinder while connected to the USB port to a computer to copy, but for a couple dollars you can get a USB SD card reader to hook the memory card right to the computer to copy files. I am extremely impressed with how good this camcorder is, especially because it looks like a small toy in my big hands!!!

I am a casual user, but have used this same camera for some really basic production for online use. Anymore, these small and inexpensive cameras can sub in for a much more expensive camera. This one has a great lens that does 20x optical, it'll do 480p, 720p, and 1080i resolutions. I still like 480p widescreen for a lot of things because the file size is small. You can fit 12 hours of 480p video on a 16GB card. This camera does work with the high bus speed SDHC flash so no worries about getting the 10x high speed memory.

Just had a baby girl, that was the purpose for the purchase. After doing a lot of research this camera definitely gives u more value for the price. Light weight, compact, built in lens cover so u never have to worry where u put it. Easy to use and nice touch screen display. Would definitely recommend it to casual users like myself. Also to get the most out of it make sure u buy a class 10 SD card.

This is a nice, small camera. I have not tried to record to DVD yet, so I am not sure how easy it is to do. The battery can die without much warning. It will show about half battery life left, then just say battery low and shut off. It does record for about an hour to an hour and a half before this happens. I bought a 32 gig SD card to go with it, and it will record for about 300 minutes with this card at the best resolution!

I use the camcorder for recording day to day stuff and picture quality is excellent. The audio quality is also very good. The photos have little noise at 4 MP, but the video quality is awesome. Very good buy for the price and camcorder is very tiny

For the price point it would be hard to beat this little Samsung. Low light performance with its 1.8f lens is probably best in its sensor size class. Using manual controls for aperture and white balance can produce near professional results. Camera captured audio is much better than expected, although wind noise can sometime be a problem. I do recommend using a class 10 memory card in the 8-16Gb range.
The only negative thing I can say about the Samsung HMX-H200 is it may be a bit delicate for some users. Deliberate handling and a light touch on the controls is required.

This is my first camcorder and it is everything that I expected from it. Easy to use and carry.
Highest resolution recording requires 6MB/sec SDHC, I wasn't aware of this during buying. I only had 4MB/sec SDHC, which enables slightly lower resolution recording, which is still pretty good.
Overall satisfied the product with the amount of money spent!!

Great little video camera. Easy to use.
I use the 720p because I do not like the interlace comb effect. I have had no problem with HCSD card speed, (even with a cheap chip I had lying around). I have not tried the time-lapse feature.
The screen record button is too close to the
zoom buttons. I have accidentally turned off
recording when trying to zoom.
