The Hoodman 8GB CompactFlash Memory Card RAW 675x UDMA is a state-of-the-art UDMA Class 6 external storage device boasting a transfer rate of 675x...100MB per second (15 seconds per download). A UDMA (Ultra Direct Memory Access) memory card dramatically increases card-to-computer transfer rates when paired with a UDMA-enabled reader.
Hoodman RAW CompactFlash cards now use a SSD (Solid State Drive) flash inside, designed to replace hard drives in computers. SSD flash is the most stable, reliable and expensive flash you can put in a CompactFlash memory card and lasts through 500,000 cycles of life (1 cycle of life equals filling a memory card and then reformatting it). This high-speed card is made in the U.S.A. for professionals who require the highest level of reliability and speed.

Comments about Hoodman 8GB CompactFlash Memory Card RAW 675x UDMA:
I used Hoodman SD cards with my Leica M8 and was never disappointed. This puppy is more expensive but it is the best that money can 'currently' buy. When you're spending the green for a pro-level camera like' the Sony A900 it simply doesn't make sense to compromise in this most vital area. It's not like I'll need a dozen of these so what the heck. Besides, it's made in the USA and that also matters to me.

Comments about Hoodman 8GB CompactFlash Memory Card RAW 675x UDMA:
As most of photographers have experienced, there has always been an elusive shot, especially in action photography. I can now take advantage of the 8fps on my 7d and shoot in mRAW with no worries of my buffer going out in a whimper. The card is responsive and gives me an edge when browsing through my shots afterwards. I owned a 4gb HMR and the extra memory doesn't hurt. Great purchase, thanks B&H!

This card is significantly faster than any other card I have, including one that supposedly is nearly as fast (600x). It saves me time. It IS expensive, but it is good. I would buy another.

Love this card I am a pro photographer and tend to fill these cards fast and hated waiting forever for it to download on to my MAC. I tried this card and now I am going to slowly replace all my others with this brand. Also it looks really cool!!!!

Comments about Hoodman 8GB CompactFlash Memory Card RAW 675x UDMA:
I use this memory card in my Nikon D300s as a secondary memory card. Since the D300s has two slots for memory cards - one SD and one CF - I use the SD slot for my primary images and the CF slot for backup. The camera will allow me to create a JPEG copy of the RAW files I capture as I shoot them, making me feel secure that if anything should happen to my SD card while shooting, I still have a JPEG preview of the pictures. I would prefer this CF card to cost a little less for the capacity, but it makes up for it in the write speed when the occasion comes for me to use that CF slot for overflow instead of backup. Other than that, I have no issues with the card and would recommend it to a friend. The manufacturer has done a quality job in producing the card.

Comments about Hoodman 8GB CompactFlash Memory Card RAW 675x UDMA:
Hoodman is--hands down--the best CompactFlash Card being produced today. Solid state construction with zero failure rates in the field. Amazing speed. Hoodman is the only card I trust when recording audio or shooting HD dslr. I sleep better at night knowing that this is one piece of gear that will not let me down. It's estimated life span makes it a true value. And it's made in the USA!

IMHO this card is a tad overpriced, but does seem to have the edge in performance when sided next to comparable Sandisk and Lexar CF cards.

When shooting in .jpeg format, the 2G cards worked fine. But since shooting raw, the larger card became a necessity to have smooth, seamless fashion photo shoots.
