Purchased this camera for vaca to california. Wanted something small enough to fit in my wifes purse and snap on the go. It did the job and then some. The zoom is great and the ia (intelligent auto) makes it so easy to use that my wife didnt even ask my how to use it. That was a first. The pet mode was the first time I saw my dog without red eye in a photo. And the other photo modes do what they say and they are easy to setup. So many positives about this camera. Only down side was the battery life, had to recharge after about 80 pict. But, that is still alot of photos. Love it.

Comments about Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FH20 Digital Camera (Violet):
My daughter moved out and took her (our) Exilim camera with her. She's a performer and I wanted to take pictures, and hopefully videos of her. I was afraid a new camera would be difficult to learn quickly, as when it arrived she was singing in a Cabaret that very night, Not so!! I have a terrific video of her singing with a pianist and it turned out fantastic AND it took me all of 2 minutes to feel like I'd had that camera for years. The pictures were a snap (literally) and I easily uploaded them to Facebook. I read reviews and specs on a hundred cameras and narrowed it down to this one. The only thing I wish it did, that other cameras do, is ZOOM while recording a video. Too many pros to care about one con.

We just bought a second one for my wife. It is super easy to use and takes great pictures. The biggest reason was it has the best zoom of any of the really skinney cameras. We can have it in a pocket and still zoom far when we need to. We highly recommend this camera.

I wanted a small camera that I could take everywhere that also takes great pictures and did not require me to be constantly changing settings. This is a perfect fit for me, and I love the color!

I use this as an everyday point-and-shoot camera. It's easy to use and takes great pics. Definitely the best P&S camera I've purchased.
I can't think of anything bad about it and I definitley got a great price.

The DMC-FH20 is a very user friendly digital camera. Quick shooting capabilities for a smaller digital camera. Quality pictures and a nice zoom. The overall experience to date has been that the price is right for the technology.

Comments about Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FH20 Digital Camera (Violet):
This camera works great for what I use it for. I carry it with me wherever I go for those spur of the moment snap shots that you never know when they will crop up.
I haven't familiarized myself with all it's features, I've only had it a short while. I'm sure the more I play with it, the more familiar I'll become with it's many features.
I also like the choice of colors available.
For a point and shoot Mom on the go, it works as expected.

Comments about Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FH20 Digital Camera (Violet):
I love this camera! I reviewed numerous camera's trying to make the right decision for a small, lightweight camera. I finally chose the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FH20 14.1 MP digital camera with 8x optical image stabilized zoom. I decided on this model because it is very simple to operate and the controls were intuitive.
It's so easy to use that I was taking pictures before even reading the directions.
If you are a photography buff, this one is easy to switch from setting to setting to achieve the correct lighting. It takes some practice to find the right settings, however the AI (Auto Intelligence) feature takes over if you just want a quick fool proof photo. The picture quality is crisp and clear.
You can't find a better digital camera out there for the money. I love the size, 14 megapix, 8x zoom, and the rechargeable battery. And to top it all off it was very affordably priced. This camera is awesome and I would recommend it to anyone.

Comments about Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FH20 Digital Camera (Violet):
So far, I really love this little camera. I have a larger digital camera and, quite honestly, a lot of the pictures I've taken so far with this Panasonic are better. They're crisp and the colors are amazing. I've taken pics of landscape, people, baby and it's consistently very good. I'm not an expert and I haven't read the owner's manual yet, but it makes me look like a pro.

Comments about Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FH20 Digital Camera (Violet):
This camera is more capable in low light than my older, more expensive FZ10, and can take many shots well without the flash. I seldom second-guess the Intelligent Auto feature, as it almost always chooses settings that result in excellent photos. Although the FH20's zoom can't keep up with more expensive cameras, it is very good compared to others in its own price range.
While it fits neatly in a pocket, it's not too small in your hands, and its buttons are easy to navigate. Battery life is excellent, comparable to the performance I've seen with other Panasonic batteries.

I have a DSLR, that I love - but wanted something that would fit in my small purse.
This camera takes great snapshots and with a little time investment can take nice (.jpg) photographs, too.
Due to luggage restrictions, my husband recently took this camera on a hunting trip and came back with some great memories. If I had known how attached my husband would be to this camera I may have chosen a different color!
It's also a perfect "online selling" camera... quick, easy & no fuss.
It's exactly what it claims to be and we are glad we made this purchase.

I was looking for a point-and-shoot camera that required little to no input to snap great photos, and this is it. The resolution is great, the 8X optical zoom is going to be wonderful, and the intelligent auto mode sets the camera free to select whatever exposure, shutter speed, etc. it deems best suited to the environment. Deviating from this intelligent auto mode is also intuitive and easy to navigate. Overall I'm just stoked I bought this camera.

I use this camera for my family. It has a great lens, great flash and the picture quality is also fantastic. I wanted to buy an NIKON S8000, but when I tested them, the PANASONIC had more to offer for less money. So far so good, what can I say, I love my Panasonic camera. You would love it too, especially the zoom.
