The Casio Exilim EX-FH100 Digital Camera packs many professional features in a compact, stylish camera. The 10.1 megapixel resolution will allow you to make poster-size prints. The 10X optical zoom lens has an amazing range starting an ultra-wide 24mm. This lets you take sharp photos whether in a tight spot or if your subject is far away. Getting the perfect photo is easy with features including Best Shot Continuous mode, but if you want the ultimate creative control, you have the options of manual, shutter, and aperture priority. File output further enhances the creative experience with the RAW DNG file format. View all your images on the 3" LCD screen.
With a high ISO of 3200 and CCD Shift Image Stabilization, shooting in low light is a snap. If your subject is moving fast, you can capture it at 40fps at full resolution. This versatile camera can also capture HD video at 30fps with stereo sound, and slow motion video at 33X slower than real life. With YouTube Capture Mode movies can be recorded and saved using the ideal size and quality settings for YouTube. You can then upload the video to YouTube using the included computer software.

This is my best pocket camera, ever.
It works great for my tennis and golf stroke analysis. I am most popular guy in my club, as everyone wants to see themselves in slow motion.
As to picture quality, it is very good and in par with my former P&S canons. But one feature is blowing competition away. For complicated lighting you always can use best shot. Camera will instantly make a few high speed shots and combine pictures into single one. Sorta HDR on the fly. Takes a couple of seconds to build one and no need to fiddle for saving blown whites or blacks. Mountains, beachies, tonnels, narrow city streets - it handles awesome. Just choose best shot and chances are you gonna be good.
When you shoot portrait of several people, the best shot makes multiple shots to make sure, that result shot will have all faces with open eyes and smiling. How fantastic is that !!!

I bought the camera two weeks ago along with the package (included 8gb memory and camera case). The day I bought it, I charged the camera to its fullest and kept it inside the camera case until I needed it. After 6 days of owning the camera, the camera started to die on me. A red "ALERT" sign would come up on the screen. I looked it up on Google and it said that it's overheating and needs to cool down a bit. I had not even used the camera for two days and JUST took one picture. It was about 80 degrees outside. The "ALERT" sign kept coming up and kept shutting off at my graduation too. So much for "pictures to remember". I called both CASIO and B&H to help me with this issue - and at the end, CASIO said that I can always return it and that the problem is inside the camera (I tried rebooting it).[...]Other than the whole "ALERT" sign, the random shut-downs and the lag after taking a picture (sometimes), the camera is pretty decent. It's the closest thing I've seen to an SLR. I really do love the camera, I just don't like the fact that it keeps shutting down. I'm returning it today. Hopefully I can find something else that's similar to it.If you're going to buy this camera - I definitely would recommend the 2-3 year warranty. It's worth every penny.

I have been teaching golf for over 25 years and I have used numerous cameras and recorders. The Casio EX-FH100 is BY FAR the best digital camera I have purchased. It's so easy to use, playback(with great quality), and carry in my pocket for use actually on the golf course with my students. Many of my students and other PGA golf professionals have been so impressed that have purchased the camera for themselves. I highly reccommend this product for anyone who needs to use video for their business. As for all teaching professionals, get this product into your hands!

I purchased this camera as a replacement for a 5 year old Casio EX-Z750, which took remarkably sharp pictures and videos. I was very disappointed in both the photos and videos from this new model. Image quality didn't even come close to my old Casio. So I returned this one [...]

Fetcher packed
First off all let me say Ive never wondered further then the canon brand when it comes to choosing cameras. After some research and hours of web reviews I decided to give the FH100 a try. I didn't know much about the Casio brand and honestly at the time I would never consider the brand a legitimate contender to Canon.
We've only had a few days play around with the FH100 and I must say Im impressed. The first thing you notice is the heft, this is a well constructed solid camera. The function controls are not recognizable to a canon user so unless your casio savvy you better spend a little time with the book. There is included a CD with operation instructions which I thought was well set up and quite understandable even for a novice like me. This camera is fetcher packed, Its amazing the options included in this camera costing just a little over 2 bills. The high speed movie mode is a blast to play with and the ability to record in RAW format on a camera in this price range is unheard off. There is a shooting mode called best photo This is where you scroll through a menu of pre-shot photos and select the one closet to the shot your composing, I find this option works well but takes time to set up and the selection photos offered to chose from are limited. You can create and store you own photo samples for the best shot folder for future reference if there's a typical shot regularly take. I chose this camera based on a review stating the quality of low light shooting was very good with the intention off making it the "concert camera". The low light practice photos have so far been average, I believe there's some room for improvement on my part, so the juries still out.
All in all for the money, I'm pretty happy

This camera is really good to record slow motion movies.
I'm a track coach and need fine and precise movies of really fast movements. This camera does the job.
The only problem is that this feature does not work in low light.
It is really important to set up the ISO correctly. Otherwise, the image gets blurry.
The picture taking feature is ok.

Comments about Casio Exilim EX-FH100 Digital Camera (Black):
This camera has a simple interface, and important controls for easy access while shooting. The high-speed ability of this camera is just the tip of the iceberg.
High ISO modes (3200) produce very good photos in low-light, light grain, and the colour is consistent. In daylight it is excellent, as to be expected from most compacts. The high speed modes do sacrifice the resolution, as it reduces as you move up to 1000fps (226x60), but most modes are quite reasonable, and you wouldn't want to miss a perfect shot anyway. I like the RAW mode inclusion, and the abundance of size options. HD movies are a pleasure, and the beauty is in the ZOOM, as other cameras have fixed zooms while filming.
Large screen, good battery life, plenty of controls, and a fantastic zoom make this the buy of the year. I am a pro photographer who needs to carry a compact for certain occasions, and I am now glad to have the CASIO on hand for the job.
You just can't beat this compact for the price. 8/10.

After much research between Panasonic ZS7 and Casio FH100 - for a compact camera with good zoom, opted for the FH100. Main pluses were battery life and CMOS speed. According to reviews, ZS7 had larger sensor, bigger zoom and GPS, but shorter battery life and quality of photos looked marginally lower. Gave more weight to picture quality than bigger zoom.
Photo quality and battery won the battle - with speed capabilities an added bonus.
So far took photo of Christmas lights in the dark, and in the snow using Best Shot "High Speed Night Scene" selection and it worked way over expectations.
Added plus, camera arrived in two days in Canada.

Although Casio is not well known for their cameras, those of us who use video to teach sports know about this line of cameras. This camera is small yet very powerful. It takes HD video at 30 fps and up, and the slow motion is awesome. Highly recommended camera at less than $250.

Switching from photos to movies is easy. There are two separate buttons. No need to change any settings. However, make sure you read the directions on movie modes. I was in a movie mode that doesnt record sound and it took a long time to figure out how to get the sound back.

Comments about Casio Exilim EX-FH100 Digital Camera (Black):
This camera has a ton of interesting features, high speed video is but one of them, there are various ways to play with multiple recorded images. It's a great camera+electronics toy. Bought it for my 9 yo son, he just loves to play with different options and modes (although he likes my SLR better). Picture quality is certainly acceptable but worse than a point-and-shoot Canon or Nikon, contrast is sometimes too high or colors too harsh. So, for good and consistent picture quality look elsewhere. However, for fun and creativity this one is hard to beat.
