Comments about Casio EX-FC150 Digital Camera (Black):
I use it for high speed video...for work. Resolution is terrible at 1000 fps but you can't ask for anything better at this price point. It isn't super easy to use but I didn't have to read the manual.

Comments about Casio EX-FC150 Digital Camera (Black):
I bought this camera because of it's very unique features like 1000 FPS video, 40 FPS full-resolution capture, and advanced computational photography features like HDR built into the camera. It also takes excellent pictures and has a decent lens with very little barrel or pincushion distortion. It is a little weak at high-ISOs but has special shooting modes which clean them up beautifully.
You will spend some time learning all of it's clever and new photography features and the menu system will take some time to get around, but I think it's a huge value for the price and what you get that you just cant get on any other point-and-shoot and most other digital SLRs.

Comments about Casio EX-FC150 Digital Camera (Black):
I bought this camera specifically for the high speed video functions. It allows me to slow things down on the equipment I work on. Our company has a $6000 high speed unit, but it is in the home office and expensive to ship. This allows a technician in the field to have an invaluable tool in the bag that fits in the palm of the hand. So far it also appears to take very nice stills as well. I have read comments about the quality of stills, but if you are buying this camera expecting DSLR performance, then you are in the wrong game. The video functions of this camera are so far amazing and extremely useful.

Comments about Casio EX-FC150 Digital Camera (Black):
I was looking for a cam with decent fps/shutter speed in order to film my golf swing at the driving range. I found this one on the net, for [$]. The cam is useful in 640x480 @ 120 fps, 1/1000 shutter speed. You can see the club face orientation at any moment in the swing and there is no blur. The image quality is ok (640*480). The others fps options, 400fps +, are not very useful because the resolution is so poor you can not see the important details in a golf swing. So overall, I think this is the best bargain if you want a decent cam that can film with details and no blur a golf swing (or any fast moving sports).

Comments about Casio EX-FC150 Digital Camera (Black):
I bought this camera to replace my Canan Digital Elph because of the high speed video options. I am an avid golfer and wanted to be able to take the camera with me on the golf course and onto the range to see if I'm actually doing what I think I'm doing. The video is awesome! I am shooting in the 420 frame mode which is plenty for evaluating the golf swing. The pleasant surprise was the quality of the photos. I took several photos in difficult situations (light background--dark subject) and the camera excelled. It exposed both background and subject perfectly without overexposure. Overall, I really like this camera. As with all things, however, there are some negatives: Packaged software is worthless (canon is MUCH better), case is plastic and picks up finger prints, battery lid feels flimsy and seems likely to break.Overall, with limited use so far, I would give this an 8.5/10 and would strongly recommend. [...]The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is due to the battery cover and poor included software (i.e. no photostitch for panoramic photos).
