Comments about Sennheiser PMX 680 Adidas Sports Behind-the-Neck Headphones:
After having annoying 'ear buds' fall out every 15 seconds, I tried these, & I'm REALLY happy with them. I hear good rich bass, and excellent, clean highs. I'm using them with my little clip-on mp3 player, you know, the tiny one that SHUFFLES music around. I use it at the gym on the elliptical, the treadmill, & other weight machines. My only issue, is that I'm 6'3", & without the extension, the cord doesn't reach the player if I wear it on my shorts, so I end up with too much wire, and the volume control is in the wrong place. . . A minor inconvenience! I'm very picky about sound quality, & these are well worth the investment.

Comments about Sennheiser PMX 680 Adidas Sports Behind-the-Neck Headphones:
I am a big Sennheiser fan so when they teamed up with Adidas I knew these headphones would be a winner! I was SO right. The sound quality is remarkable. Not only do you hear crisp highs but you also hear a good low end too. That was not what I was expecting. During my workouts the PMX680's stayed in place while doing my aerobic workout on the treadmill, the elliptical, the bike and the recombant bike and the stepper. No problem with needing to adjust them. The volume control on the wire is a must and I'm glad its there. I've used behind-the-neck headphones in the past but these are by far the best I've ever had.

Comments about Sennheiser PMX 680 Adidas Sports Behind-the-Neck Headphones:
I've used the PMX 680's running and cross-training. I like the single cable (and the kevlor for strength), and the shorter cable option is perfect for an armband - it stays out of the way. Excellent sound. Can't beat the price. I purchased 2 pairs so my wife will leave mine alone.

Comments about Sennheiser PMX 680 Adidas Sports Behind-the-Neck Headphones:
I was having trouble finding a headset that really worked well for heavy workouts on the bikes and ellipticals, for example. This set fits the bill, it stays in place, has a convenient clip so the wires stay out of my way, and the sound is good quality. It blocks out the surrounding noise fairly well, and the volume adjust is nice for when I get a really loud talker nearby. The bag-style case is nice too, fits in my gym bag very well, and it is easier to use than the plastic ones a lot of headsets come with.[...]

Comments about Sennheiser PMX 680 Adidas Sports Behind-the-Neck Headphones:
i primarily use these headphones for trail running. I love that the cord only is on one side, and the clip for the volume control is perfect for avoiding the "tug" that other headphones give when running. The only negative i have noticed is if you run with glasses, the over the ear part seems to be a little high (at least on me) and fit is a little tight.

Comments about Sennheiser PMX 680 Adidas Sports Behind-the-Neck Headphones:
I have owned 4 pair of Sennheiser behind the head headphone. 1 Sennheiser PMX70, 3 Sennheiser PMX80 and now this pair Sennheiser PMX680 and I have used the PMX680 for a few months now.
The reason why I have had so many headphones is because the cord connecting to the phone jack keeps breaking. Very annoying however I really do enjoy the sound quality so I keep buying them. I also need to state that I always keep my mp3 player/iPhone in my pocket. So for that reason this can contribute to the short life span of my headphones. I just needed to state that!
The flaws on the PMX680 are as followed...
1. The Headphones are slightly heavier than the previous models PMX70/80.
2. To get the best sound quality when wearing the headphones you need to have the headphones in a up position. Think of having the headphones resting on you neck, that would be the down position. You need to have them way up to hear the sound better. conclusion... they were designed a bit strange?
3 How do they compare to the previously models? Not too sure... the sound is definitely different, however it almost sounds like better treble and not base? If you move the headphones to a higher position then I would say yes they do sound... crisper and I can hear the base, but the headphones never stay in that position.
4. The speakers are a tad bit bigger. The rubber piece feels much much more comfortable compared to the previous models, however if you have small ears like me then the PMX680 do tend to feel bigger.
5. The volume control is a bit heavy, cumbersome, annoying. I'll explain. If I decided to jog, not run across the street. The volume controller starts bouncing up and down on my chest/"a bit heavy". The position which the headband needs to be in to get better sound which is up, starts slowing bouncing down due to the weight of the volume controller"cumbersome". By the time I am on the other side of the street, I am"ANNOYED!!!"
6. Like the previous models headphones, the cord by the phonejack is loose/broken again!
7.If you are a jogger I would think that these headphones would be your worst nightmare with the volume controller constantly bouncing around unless you hold it in your hand. I am not a jogger however I am a ballroom dance and I find that the weight of the headphones and the constant pull from the volume controller to be EXTREMELY ANNOYING to the point where I don't even use them anymore to dance with.
8. Conclusion. I think these are the WORST design headphones I have every bought. Sorry Sennheiser, I really like you guys however the PMX680 do BLOW! And this is my 5 pair of behind the neck headphones, I DO HAVE EXPERIENCE WEARING AND USING SENNHEISER HEADPHONES THROUGH THE YEARS!
Sennheiser, please drop that annoying volume controller and go back to the PMX70/80 design.
I now need a new pair of headphones. I'm on my way to another website to find a pair of PMX80 because they are better in my experience.
Hope this helps and sorry for the long review/rant!
