The Cinema Bundle is a great way to adapt to the DSLR shooting need. I use it with a 60D.
The rig goes together relatively easily.

Let me start off by saying I love Redrock Micro's gear. I've owned several RRM components in the past and will continue to give them my business in the future.

That said, here's the good and the bad of this bundle:

GOOD:

Carbon fiber rails are awesome! Light as can be and strong! Cage works nicely. The handle for getting low shots is slick, BUT you cannot use an on-camera mic while using it, which is a bit of a bummer. The follow focus works perfectly. The DSLR mount works slick, and as long as you use the extra pin to help further secure it to the base-plate I don't think you would ever have anything to worry about. The cheese plate is very high quality and works great!

THE BAD:

Oh man. This was a total bummer. The matte box. At first glance it looks great, until you realize that RRM used COMPRESSED PAPERBOARD for a LOT of the construction materials in this thing! Definitely let me down on this one. Don't get me wrong, it works fine, and as long as you take care when handling it, it should last a long time, but still definitely not up to the standards I was used to from RRM. The swing-out feature is nice to have, and the bundle DOES include the french flag and barn doors (although it doesn't state that), which is a nice surprise.

Overall, I would say save the cash and just get the mounting gear and follow focus here. Get a matte box from someone else.

The Cinema Bundle it's a great tool for HDDSLR video.
Personally I'm using it for shooting ads and other commercial work. It gives me the capability to deliver great footage with my Canon 5D.

There's no doubt I'll keep upgrading my rig with the shoulder mount.
And definitely want to check on the new viewfinder!

I recently purchased the Redrock Micro DSLR bundle mainly to shoot music videos. At first I was unsure if I wanted to spend that kind of money on a rig... Well Im glad I did, the Redrock DSLR bundle is rock solid made out of quality material. The carbon fiber rods are a plus.. They make the rig nice and light! Overall it's an awesome set-up and very proffesional looking.

I run a local TV station where producers check out equipment.
Although the bundle was easy to assemble, I was surprised to learn that it did not come with the gears as part of the package. I should have noticed - but this incomplete package now sits unused until the order for the gears arrives...
Otherwise it is well made and helpful for the more creative productions.

I bought this rig to use with my 7D, and right out of the box I was ready to go. It is very well constucted, extremely sturdy, and the carbon fiber rods just look sweet. If your doing mostly tripod work, this bundle is all you need, but if you plan on venturing outside of that, the shouldermount is a must.

Very reliable, strong and very sturdy. One great thing is the I can adapt other gadgets to the rods around the DSLR without interfearing with the work. I shoot documentaries for a living and I plan to use it for productions.

This bundle fits perfect the 5DmkII with WFT4 (or any grip), I also bought the "MICROSHOULDERMOUNT DELUXE BUNDLE" so I use the 5DmkII/WFT/24-105 on the microShoulderMount and the 80-200/2.8 lens on the "DSLR baseplate" just change the orientation of the top handle and adjust the mattebox. [...]
