The ME-25 from Boss is a multi-effects pedal for guitarists that offers a wide range of tones, an easy-to-use interface, and USB computer connectivity - all at a budget-friendly price. You simply plug your guitar into the ME-25 and plug it into an amp (or practice quietly with headphones), and quickly navigate around different effects and amplifier modeling with its foot switches and expression pedal. Cakewalk's SONAR 8.5 LE software is included, which turns your computer into a powerful recording studio (Windows only).
The effects are split up into six categories: clean, crunch, drive, heavy, lead, and extreme. You simply select a category and scroll through to hear the different effects in each one. It's easy to tweak any of the presets with the drive, tone, and volume knobs. You can save up 60 of your own effects with custom settings. The large expression pedal on the ME-25 enables you to control wah, octave changes, and the exclusive "freeze" effect, which samples and freezes a note for infinite sustain and endless creative possibilities.
The USB port on the ME-25 allows you to connect it to both Mac and Windows computers for use as a computer audio interface. Windows users will also be able to take advantage of the included SONAR 8.5 LE software which includes audio loops, rhythms, and songs that are fun to jam along with using the ME-25. An 1/8" auxiliary input is included on the rear which makes it possible to connect a CD or MP3 player, so you can play along with your favorite music.
