I purchased this backpack to replace a basic Canon backpack which no longer covered all my kit after purchasing a new lens.
I can say that this backpack has met all my expectations - it is comfortable to wear (although weighty once fully laden), well constructed, flexibly furnished and looks like it should last a while.
I have mine filled out with:
Canon 30D with Zeiss 50mm MF attached
Canon 70-200L F2.8
Canon 16-23L F2.8
Tokina 11-16 F2.8 DX
Canon 28-135 EF-S F5.6
Canon 1.4x TC II
Canon 430EX flash & Rocket air blower
By rearranging things, I could currently add another midsize lens (standard prime or short zoom) as well as holding my charger, batteries and a couple of filters. This is in addition to space in the lid flap for CF/SD cards, USB cable, a nodal rail, cleaning cloth, ref. cards etc. I could probably accomodate 2 more lenses if I were to remove the filters.
I really like the laptop slot which puts the laptop right next to your back and allows quick access in airports, but be aware that if the bag is full, the slot space is kinda thin, and exerts a degree of pressure on the laptop. Screen size is not an issue, you can get a 15" form factor in, no problem, but if the machine is too fat, it's gonna get squeezed!
I took this on 4 US cross-country domestic flights right after buying and didn't have any problems. All flights were full, and I was waiting for someone to offer to check it (which I would have refused to do (obviously!). Note that it fits crosswise in smaller overhead bins (although the vertical clearance is a little tight) and it will also just about fit under the seat in front of you, so long as it's not one of those reduced width aisle seats.
Haven't tried the rain cape yet, but its good to have one and the tripod holder seems okay - the quick release snaps are a plus.
Verdict:
A quality piece of kit which will allow you to carry as much kit as most people will want to be lugging around on their back for shorter distances.

I am a professional photographer so I have many different backpacks, rollers, and slingshots.
What I like about the Pro Runner 350 is that its a perfect fit for my body type. It also fits my two Canon SLR's with many of my flashes and Lenses. I also like how my 15inch laptop fits in the back.
The only thing I did not like about this was the strings on the backpack. My main zipper string fell off only a few days after I bought it. It may have been because i was trying to fit too much into the bag but I found this very disappointing and thought it should be stronger.

This backpack is for you when you have atleast one 70-200mm f2.8 (or similar size) and 1 or 2 more lens and a camera body with couple of filters, 1 or 2 TC(depends which one), a flash, battery charger, laptop 15" and a solid tripod. Virtually it will pack in everything that you may need for a days photoshoot, unless you are into wildlife photography where main lens is 500mm and above.
I did check with b&h and measured, this bag can even hold 300mm prime. If inside the bag is not enough then you have sufficient holders, there you may attach more small lens(you have to purchase the lens holder seperately).
Over all its a solid build bag, the cloth is made of high grade material, it can withstand some degree of rain and all. To hold so much weight it has got sufficient padding outside where your back meets the bag, so you feel comfortable holding it for long time. I liked the waist padded belt, it really hangs on and i did feel comfortable. It has 2 latches to hold a tripod unlike 1 in 300AW. That was one of the main reason i did not go for 300AW and another reason is laptop holding capability. Although i may seldome use this, but just in case i need to carry it then i should not be holding another bag just for a laptop, so this is a added great feature. This bag has sufficient compartments, you can hold on a lot of additional things like magazines/books, or say a thin shorts and a T-Shirt, just if you need to carry. So over all a great buy worth every cents spent.
This is my 2nd Lowepro bag, the first one I have been using for last 4 years and has gone every where i have been to, yet not a single cloth strings or any thing came out, absolute rugged, i am sure this one will last for years to come too.
Hope my review helps you in deciding on backpack.

I purchased this pack as an upgrade to my Lowepro Mini Trekker Classic. It has enough room to accommodate two bodies with grips, 3 lenses, and two flashes (580exIIs) with some room to spare.
The only real con I have noticed thus far is that the AW cover won't fit when a tripod is attached.

As a Semi-Pro Photographer I have a Pentax 67II Medium format camera, along with my 35mm Nikon F5.
I have a total of 7 lens and a Nikkor 70-200. All fit with room to breath. Also fit's my 15" MacBook Pro along with extra pieces of clothing, filters and film fit snug. I had a girl that really knew her stuff and helped me pick this Pro Runner. It's also great for carry on's when traveling. Thanks B&H.

Comments about Lowepro Pro Runner 350 AW Backpack:
Very nice bag. It has plenty of space. I have mine holding a DSLR body, 2 Nikon flashes, 3 lenses, computer, several chargers and cables. I do think the laptop space is a tight fit and I am only using a 13" macbook pro. I would find it difficult to say it could hold a 15" laptop. I have already taken it on several plane trips and all my gear stayed protected. The bag when it is full, will not fit underneath airplane seats. I had to take my laptop out and force it to fit underneath the seats. Overall I feel the quality is excellent and I would recommend this product despite my minor complaints.

Conformable and looks great, but there is just one issue on this unfortunately The depth is not enough for professional full size gears such as EOS 1D and D3 series. Zipper can be closed but no margin inside. seems 20mm is required as least as depth. Others are very nice. I would recommend this to my frieds who has not own professional DSLR.

Comments about Lowepro Pro Runner 350 AW Backpack:
I bought this as my other backpack was a tad small and I wanted a backpack that would fit all my equipment. You never know what you may want to take a picture off! As with all of the Lowepro backpacks the quality is very good. I especially liked that fact that it would hold a laptop. It has plenty of room for the equipment and nicely configures to your needs. I did find that although it fit all my equipment it does get heavy full of equipment. I find that I'm still glad I have a smaller one for the long trips. Keep in mind I'm not as young as I used to be so the weight may not be an issue for you but I found it too heavy (loaded with equipment) to take on long walks. Other than that I can recommend this as a top quality versatile backpack. I love being able to open the back and get access to all my equipment. I find other designs are not as accommodating.

Comments about Lowepro Pro Runner 350 AW Backpack:
I have bought a few different bags over the years but my Lowepro bags always seem to hold up the best. This is my first backpack version and its great. I spent a lot of time searching around for a bag that is beg enough to carry all my equipment but is also small enough that when I am shooting events and other things where I can't set my bag down it wont get in the way. Its not small but the larger bags are just to big to carry around with you all the time. I am able to fit a 5d mk2, 70-200, 50mm and a 24-70mm. Plus two speedlites, pocket wizards, and all the batteries, cards that I need.

Comments about Lowepro Pro Runner 350 AW Backpack:
I have finally found a pack that I absolutely love in this 350AW backpack by Lowepro. Like many photogs, I have a half dozen different bags, but I didn't love any of them. The Tamrac backpack I have has a bar that dug into my spine and caused discomfort while hiking, and the Lowepro Photo Trekker AW II I use is just too big and heavy. That pack is over 8 pounds empty! Fill it up with stuff and now you're carrying quite the load. After a couple of hikes and a week in Kauai, I had decided I needed a better pack and chose this Lowepro 350AW. I love it. It's much lighter, a bit smaller, and very comfortable to carry. It's got plenty of space - I carry: 5D Mark II and 3 lenses, Linhof 612 camera and lens, an assortment of circular and 4x6" filters, odds and ends, and can still fit my camelbak-bag of water in the outer pocket! Much lighter and more comfortable than the other packs. I carry a sarong to lay down in the sand or dirt to lay the pack on when I set up to shoot my landscapes, so no need for a dorky sling-bag. I like the no-nonsense great design of this pack and recommend it highly.
