I wanted a bag for when I wanted to travel light (a body with 2-3 lenses).
Too many of the bags I looked at were very bulky and were overkill for my need. I looked at similar "minimalist" bags and they were very expensive. This bag meets my needs for function and price.
Now I enjoy taking short walks around the neighborhood with my camera. Access is easy to grab the camera or to change lenses, I don't even have to take the bag off, I just swing it around.
The accessory pockets are just right for batteries, memory card, wallet and cell phone.
I have been using this bag more in the past few weeks than my other bag, I really enjoy traveling light.

Comments about Lowepro Exchange Messenger Bag (Black):
This small bag is great for daily use, probably not meant to be used for major transport since the padding is not very pronounced. Having said that, the padding is more than adequate for protection from small bumps so it will work for commuting and such. Plenty of space, was able to get my 5d2 with 17-40 attached in it, along with my 70-200 2.8 and 85 1.8. Room in the front pockets for slim items, filters and stuff like that...

This is a very inexpensive alternative to a shoot sac. It's lightweight and I can fit all my gear and change lenses pretty easily. So for now this will do.

it's good for smaller photo gig but if you have heavy equipments you'll strain your shoulder if using longer. it doesn't have strap pad to for comfort.

Comments about Lowepro Exchange Messenger Bag (Black):
It's always nice to go to B&H in person-- as you get to see pretty much everything they have physically in one spot. I went to NYC looking for a photo bag, having not really found anything online that I liked, that was not very expensive. My criteria was, small and lightweight, would not look like a photo bag, and maybe can fit an iPad, along with a small camera. After trying out a bunch of bags on the floor at B&H, I was pretty surprised to find this very inexpensive bag, that *almost* met all my requirements. As it turns out, an iPad doesn't really fit into it that perfectly (but it does fit) and the padding is a little thinner than other bags ...... but did I mention is it *really* inexpensive ... and made by a good brand name company. Given the price, I decided I couldn't go really wrong with this bag, and still have resources to get something else I might like a little later on. The padding and construction is sound, but it is at the minimum of padding you'd consider acceptable ... but it is acceptable, and that fits with its small size and low price. It was clearly engineered to be *just good enough*Since then I've found myself using it all the time. It's small, lightweight, can carry all the stuff I need, and is safe enough for my camera. Slung across my shoulder, sometimes I forget I'm wearing it. It's won me over, and I'm very happy with the purchase. [...] Recommended as a day bag, or a second bag for light use.

Light and comfortable camera bag for small accessories, a camera, and possibly a flash or alternate lens. Not the best gear for camera with large lens and extra flash/lens as you run out of space.

Believe it or not I use it for my Nikon D3S with a 24-70 zoom for walking around the city. That's all it will hold and I'm cool with that. It has a comfortable feel even when fully loaded with that not so light camera..
It's a very snug fit, but nobody know's what I'm packing til I pull it out of the bag to shoot.

It fits your dslr and 2 up to 3 lenses if they are not too big. Really nice and light bag. You can use it for a walk instead of carrying your big and heavy bag. The only thing i am missing is the all weather protection and it won't protect your gear in bad weather but you can't have anything for that low price after all so don't expect great things from this bag. Otherwise i will recommend this bag to people that don't need that much gear and don't want to carry too much weight with them.

Great for on the go shoots. Holds extra lenses & flashes plus has a nice pocket on the front that zips closed. Lightweight and totally adjustable dividers inside. Isn't padded as heavily aa other bags but isn't meant for a storage bag, it's just for easy access to equipment you'll need to keep on you during a shoot. Great bag for a great price.

This bag is fantastic. I looked at several other bags (some nearly four times the price) and none could even come close to comparing for the price. It fits my t2i, kit lens, 80-200mm, mini tripod, charger, cords, etc., with ease. The strap is nice and wide and adjusts perfectly for me at 6'1". It's stylish, too! Buy it! You won't be disappointed!

Bought this for vacation where there would be a lot of walking and this bag was the perfect alternative to a bulky camera bag. Held the camera body, two lenses and still have room for the mobile phone and a couple other items.

Comments about Lowepro Exchange Messenger Bag (Black):
I needed a small camera bag to carry my DSLR + 2 lenses. This one is simply perfect! It does not appear like your typical camera case, more like a plain messenger bag that you carry around in the city/subway. I can put my charger, my USB cable and couple small things in this bag as well. Overall a great purchase with a very reasonable price.

I was looking for a bag that wasn't to big to walk around with on vacation. I also wanted to fit some of my lenses and other personal items. This bag is just what I needed! There is limited to no padding on the bottom of the bag, but this isn't a problem for me because I used some from another bag I had.

i needed to get a camera bag that i would have easy access to and is comfortable to wear.
i didn't need a lot of space, because i only wanted room for my canon 30D, and maybe a lens or two.
this bag is perfect for that!
i also love the simple and modern look of it.
5 stars!!

Great bag... padding is not too thick but adequate to those who are very careful with their gear.
Can't really tell it's a camera bag... which is great if you want an inconspicuous bag!

For the price you pay it's very good, way cheaper than the rest but it does not have a cushioned interior so it's something to be aware of.
In my case I just needed something to hold my camera and allow me to take it out fast.
