International orders*The Bower E-TTL Flash Extension Cord (4.5', 1.4 m) is an extremely useful accessory for Canon EOS cameras, allowing an external flash with a hot shoe to be used away from the camera. One end of the cord has the hot shoe to attach your flash unit; the other has a module which fits into the hot shoe on your camera. The flash can be located as far as 4.5' (1.4 m) away from the camera and still perform all the automatic functions possible with flash photography. You can use your flash-off camera at a wide variety of different angles to achieve an equally wide variety of lighting effects such as shadow fill-in, bounce lighting or dramatic direct lighting.

Used primarily to put my flash on my flash bracket. I have had two other Canon flash extension cords and both have failed and figured this one couldn't be any worse than Canon. Time will tell, but so far it looks like it will work ok.
The only thing I don't like is you have to use the 1/4 in. screw to attach it to the bracket. The Canon cord has a "foot" that lets you slide it into a receptical like the one found on top of the camera. Only a minor inconvenience.

This product is useless for any professional application. It is unreliable, unpredictable, and almost ruined a job I was shooting. It works fine, and then it doesn't. Even though by now I should know better, I bought it because it was inexpensively priced.......big mistake.
Communication between the camera body and the flash gun is very spotty. I was shooting an event last night. Typically I rely on the FEL button to get proper flash strength. In the middle of shooting a very important part of the night, the FEL button stopped communicating w/ the flash, and the next 3 frames were way too over-exposed to be of ANY use. I had to compensate on-the-spot and luckily I got it right.
At other times, the ext. cord stopped communicating completely, for no apparent reason. My connections were tight, and it would work fine and then just quit, which is obviously very frustrating. I know it's the cord because I finally gave up on it and attached my 430EX to the camera, and everything worked flawlessly from that point on.
I will never use this product again, and cannot recommend it for anybody who makes money with their camera. Maybe a casual shooter who might pull this piece of junk out once a month or something, but if you need to rely on your equipment, avoid this completely.

I'm a photo student and am just getting my start. I got it because it was a cheap alternative to a wireless transmitter and its reasy to use. Great quality after 3 different purchases from B&H I can honestly say that no one can beat the price [...]

Not much to say other than it does a great job sending my flash signal from the camera to the flash unit.

It's a great idea being able to use your TTL dedicated flash at a distance from your hot shoe. The only trouble is that this [...] cable won't fire my 580 EXll flash. It triggers the infra red focus beam and that's about it.

Fit and finish excellent! It was half the price of the manufacturer's equivalent product and performs flawlessly. Would recommend to a friend.

This product doesn't work at all. Out of 100+ tries, flashed only twice. The infrared beam triggered every time, no flash. Wonder why I'm the only one commented. Nobody else want this product? Unfortunately passed 15 days return period. Just a very basic connection cable, never thought it won't work.

The Bower Flash extension was a fraction of the cost of the Canon version and I've used it quite a few times no and its working great. Great value!
