Redrock Micro's microFollowFocus v2 Indie Bundle gives you nearly everything you'll need to achieve smooth, accurate, professional focus.
Compatible with all camcorders and DSLRs, the microFollowFocus v2 lends your video production the precise focus control of a big-budget film. Whether shooting with a fixed-lens camcorder, interchangeable cinema lenses, or a video-capable DSLR, the precision-machined, gear-driven design provides repeatable, accurate focusing.
The included microLensGears enable an exact fit between your 35mm SLR lens and the microFollowFocus, allowing more precise and fluid focus adjustments. The three different-sized gears wrap around lenses with circumferences of 180mm - 220mm (Size A), 211mm - 250mm (Size B), and 241mm - 280mm (Size C). Without damaging your lens, the gear is pulled tight using one of the included fastening screws. Click here to find out how to measure your lens.
Note! Rod support is not included with the microFollowFocus Indie Bundle. The microFollowFocus works with standard 15mm lightweight rod support systems such as the microSupport system.

Comments about Redrock Micro microFollowFocus v2 Indie Bundle:
I use this follow focus on a redrock rail system, with zeiss prime lenses. It so far has performed very well. I've been told it is a massive improvement from the previous version made by redrock.
The gear system seems very smooth and robust, I've had a few instances where cables and other odds have gotten caught up and jammed- but everything held up very well.
My only complaint is the witness mark on the top is made from very thin metal and I worry about bending it. That said its been fine for a while now.
The bundled gears are good- they attach solidly and have never slipped once they are tightened. The plastic material feels like it will last a long time.
Also, I am currently using it on dummy side- with the wheel on the right side of camera, and it works very well there.

Comments about Redrock Micro microFollowFocus v2 Indie Bundle:
I use the follow focus every time I'm on shoot. The smoothness of the focus pull gives a great cinematic feel to my movies. It fits perfectly on my eyeSpy rig. The movement is smooth and the gears fit well on most lenses. The only problems I've had with the follow focus are actually with the gears. Although the three different sized gears fit many lenses I found that I needed a smaller gear than Redrock even makes as well as a larger gear. The purchase also comes with a Redrock marking pencil.

I use this along with the Zacuto DSLR baseplate and a Vocus MB-250 mattebox for my GH2. I use it mostly for short film making and music video work. I have used it a little bit with making skateboard videos but usually rack focusing with your hand is easier in situations like that. Overall it's great!

Comments about Redrock Micro microFollowFocus v2 Indie Bundle:
I'm so impresse with this product. After my Cavision cheapy follow focus fell apart and the gear cracked, I bought this and couldn't be happier. My AC that's been working on 35mm projects for 25 years was smitten with this product and said it was easier to use than the arri version. The motion is smooth and accurate and i love how easy it is to pull it off the rails at a moments notice.
