Currently use this LCD Hood on an HFS200 shooting daytime and evening events. Does a great job blocking out light that would normally create a lot of glare on the screen. Really feels well made, is stiff and not flimsy at all.
Includes its own soft pouch. Only worried that one day I might crush it, but it would probable go back to the original shape.

This was a wastes of money. I suggest anyone looking at this to build a LCD Hood out of a cardboard box. Which would do a better job than this. This LCD Hood does not keep the sun/reflections/brightness off the screen at all.

Don't you just hate it when the sun is washing out your LCD screen?
Well I sure do and sometimes the viewfinder doesn't cut it.
This puppy slips right over your LCD screen. It will work with any
3.5 inch LCD screen. It really helps to cut the glare. It's a bit bulky
because it's not foldable even tho it looks like it might be.
It has a velcro strap that alows you to tighten it to your liking.
So far it hasn't slipped off on me. You can pull it off quickly if you
need to.
I can easily reach the touch screen and use the manual buttons on
the outside of the LCD panel on my Canon HF G10.

I USE THIS HOOD FOR SUNNY CONDITIONS. IT'S EASY TO MOUNT AND COMES WITH A NICE BAG FOR PROTECTION. I USE IT ON MY VIXIA HFS21 FOR SUNNY DAYS AND HELPS A LOT TO WORK.
I WISH IT COULD BEND AND SAVE SOME SPACE ON MY BAG.

This seemed an unnecessary accesory (why not just use your other hand to shield the screen?) but it really came in handy the first time I was shooting on a sunny day. Easy to take on and off, not in the way of other controls, I was glad to have it. Given that my camcorder doesn't have a viewfinder, I am happy to have this.
