Numark NS7FX Motorized DJ Software Controller for Serato ITCH Software
The Numark NS7FX Motorized DJ Software Controller with Effects conveniently combines the NS7 controller and NSFX effects controller in one package. The NS7 is an intuitive all-in-one workstation and USB interface for use with Serato ITCH DJ software (included). Numark's attention to detail makes the NS7 a viable solution for laptop DJs who crave the look and feel of traditional vinyl DJ rigs; without the bulk and hassle of separate components, arduous setup, etc.
A traditional 2-channel DJ mixer with replaceable VCA crossfader and level faders also serves as the USB interface. There are balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA phono analog output connections, and an RCA (L/R) input for connecting line-devices such as drum machines, MP3 players, etc.
Two direct-drive motorized platters surround the mixer (like any traditional DJ setup), and feature 7" vinyl on top of actual slipmats for an authentic analog turntable feel. The motor's torque may be adjusted to reflect modern or traditional turntable feel, and of course the platters are sensitive for scratching, back-cuing, etc.
Each deck also features Numark's Strip-Search touch strip for accurate, turntablist-style needle-dropping. All this in a package that also includes Serato ITCH DJ software for the Mac and Windows OS; simply add the laptop and you'll be playing your set in no time.

The NS7 is awsome. I've watched people DJ before but never really tried it myself until I bought the NS7. I watched some tutorials on how to use it and just experimented to see what everything did. I played with it everyday since I bought it about a month and a half ago and I'm getting pretty decent at beat juggling, scratching and cutting...not the best, but I am getting better. The software is user friendly, there's no lag time when you scratch, the way its built is good quality. I can't find anything wrong with this product, hence the 5/5 star rating I gave it. A great product and I'm happy that I bought it.

Its AWESOME, you're gonna love it... Especially if you own a fast MAC (Serato Itch and Windows don't mix well).
BUT... If your unit has problems (get on the serato itch forums to see ALL the problems)your gonna hate your life! Warranty service is terrible, and it can only be worked on by Numark in Reno, NV.
MY STORY:
I purchased my NS7 in March 2010 and in August the strip search on my unit started to malfunction. I called Numark support on 8/13/10 and sent it off. My NS7 returned to me on 9/9/2010. BUT when I open my box, I realized that my unit's platters had not been tightly secured, and had been flopping around while loosely threaded on the spindles.
While testing my returned unit, I noticed that, A: My platters now wobbled, did not feel the same, and my left deck made a squeaking noise when back spinning quickly. AND, B: The original problem with the strip search had not been repaired. So….
I called Numark and got a new Return Authorization and a promise from a manager that it would be back to me quickly, and that it would be tested before leaving this time.
It's now been almost 12 weeks since I originally sent off my unit and I'm losing patience. I can tell the phone techs are growing impatient too (its getting harder to get them on the phone). I've been told that my unit is repaired and it's in testing. Maybe I'm over reacting but it has been "in testing" at the factory for over 3 weeks. Now I'm wondering if my unit will be the same, and if not, what will happen then?
Probably more of the Numark service department telling me what I want to hear, and blowing me off.

The product showed up on time. Easy to assemble
The first round I tried Serato itch with vista (2 vista machines, dual core intel). It was pretty slow and none responsive. Almost thought I ad to buy a Mac as the reviews online said. I had another laptop with XP however the processor was dual core AMD which is none supported. But... It works great on this system. Very responsive, no issues. Fun system to dj with.

well built, great quality, and feeling great, for your first setup you seriously can't do better than this. my only complaint is after a few weeks the 7inch platter starts to feel smaller than it is because of use, but honestly this is a great buy. another small complaint is no sample decks, but that isn't a big deal. fantastic product.
