Numark PHX USB Professional DJ Headphones
The PHX USB DJ headphones from Numark provide high-quality audio and terrific connectivity to a variety of devices in a comfortable design. The headphones feature 50mm neodymium drivers to produce a wide frequency response with deep bass and clear treble. The closed-back earcups and interchangeable vinyl and velour ear cushions help to block out noise and provide you with the most comfortable fit. The earcups have a special rubber-silicone casing and a swivel design for easy and comfortable single-ear use.
The padded headband adjusts to fit practically any head size for a secure and comfortable fit. The headphones include 2 single-sided detachable cables for a variety of uses. The first cable is an analog stereo cable with a 3.5mm connector and a 1/4" adapter for connecting to CD players, MP3 players, and other devices with traditional headphone jacks. The second cable has a USB connector, letting you plug directly into a computer without the need for a separate interface. The headphones also feature a folding design and come with a carrying bag for convenient storage and travel.

These are very good starter DJ Headphones. They are not top of the line, but they are legit when it comes to getting the job done while maintaining a professional appearance.
Sound quality is good. Reasonably comfortable. Average noise cancellation. I especially appreciated the gold plated connectors, and detachable audio cable- and carrying bag. All much appreciated accessories for the mobile DJ such as myself- where equipment must maintain a certain degree of durability for frequent travel.
Recommended for those on a budget or starting out.

as headphones for monitoring ur mixes there awesome!!! but as normal headphones for mixing back home in your studio they dont have that good quality. So I strongly recommend this only for Dj's that like to pack light, because of the usb cable that allows you to monitor your mixes.

The Numark PHX USB are closed back DJ-style headphones. The large 50mm drivers are yoke mounted to allow easy up/down tilting. The yoke is attached to the headband with a joint that provides for limited front/back rotation, DJ monitoring fold-back, and fold-in for compact storage in the included vinyl bag. The first reviewer mentioned difficulty attaching the cable. A detachable 3.5mm (with 1/4" adapter) audio and an USB cable is included with the headphones. Both cables attach to the left earcup by first being pushed in and then screwed to be firmly seated. This is a rest-on-ear type of headphones. The high isolation vinyl earpads are attached when shipped. The vinyl earpads will get warm after extended wear. The velour earpads are more comfortable for long listening sessions but you will give up some sound isolation. The phones have some heft but are not overly heavy. The build quality is excellent. The overall sound is above average but short of audiophile. Bass is loud and clear but not crisp. Mids are dead-on accurate. Highs are muted with a steep roll-off. Soundstage is open but lacking in depth and width. These are tough phones. They can take a beating are great for use with portable devices (ipods,computers,mixing boards,etc.). For the money these are the best sounding, most comfortable all purpose headphones at any price point.

After a minor set back getting the cord to work properly, the headphones work awesome. The sound is crisp and has a lot of depth to it. They also block out all the outside noise, which is perfect.
