The microLensGear enables an exact fit between your 35mm SLR lens and Redrock Micro's microFollowFocus system, which allows for more precise and fluid focus adjustments when using still lenses to shoot video. The Size B gear wraps around lenses with a focus ring circumference of 211 - 250mm, and is pulled snug with one of the included fastening screws.

Comments about Redrock Micro microLensGear Size B (Black):
This lens gear fits most Canon lenses perfectly, and I highly recommend it for any indie filmmaker using a follow focus. Just FYI: it does not fit any of the "L" series lenses Canon makes. For those you need a size "C" lens gear.

I use this with canon lenses. I also use zacuto's version which I like less. The Redrock give a little extra diameter which allows a finer adjustment than the z zipgears. Also, the Redrock is wider allowing my ff gear to be more easily placed.
Finally, it's less expensive than the overpriced zipgear. Build quality is pretty good. No issues so far.

If you have the Follow Focus you need the gear. I used this on my canon 50mm 1.4 and it works perfectly. I had to use the longer screw that came with it; not as attractive, but that's not the point of it.

Best part about the Redrock gears as opposed to others, larger surface area makes contact with the lens, unlike some that have points or screws that get tightened on. The larger flat surface does help.

Seems to do the trick. I only use it with ZE lenses, and when attached the ring doesn't slip, nor does it damage my lenses.
One problem, they're a bit tricky to size, as for some lenses B is to small and C is to big... Even with the spare screws.
So I find myself in a situation where I'd wished they were slightly more customizable.
Overall they do the trick.

Comments about Redrock Micro microLensGear Size B (Black):
Seems to hold well enough when tightened, and doesn't damage the lens.
However, the sizes are a bit limiting and ZE users should beware that the lens gears are oddly sized for the ZE lenses.. They will work, but are just on the cusp of not fitting well.
I've only tried RR lens gears so I cannot comment on other brands.
But again, they do the trick.

Used with my Redrock Micro "Captain Stubbling". Works great, just wish it came with the Captain and that I didn't have to buy it seperately.

One of the better rings I have used for my lenses. It does slip a little on my Zeiss primes but overall with some careful adjustment they work fine.
