The Mic Mate USB Mini Mixer from MXL allows you to connect up to 4 dynamic mics to your computer, and mix their signals for creating music, podcasts, interviews, and more. The Mic Mate features 4 standard 3.5mm mini mic inputs and a USB port, allowing you to connect directly to a Mac or PC. A standard 3.5mm headphone jack provides zero-latency monitoring, so you can hear your project in real time. The mixer includes a Fox dynamic microphone, an XLR-to-Mini connector cable, a mic stand adapter, a desktop tripod stand for the mic, a USB cable, and a rugged carrying case.
Note! Unit comes with 1 dynamic microphone. Up to 3 additional microphones may be connected, and are sold separately.

I love this mixer, USB enabled, and USB connectors. I use an FM transmitter/receiver that connects directly to my hearing aids, with omni-mikes I'll be able to put 4 in classrooms or meetings and hear all the voices.
But wait - the mike that came with the kit is XLR, the cable that came with is XLT to mini and the mixer is USB in to USB out. Guess I'll be ordering more components.

Purchased this to input 4 micrs for recording conferences (actually, administrative hearings) digitally (rather than hire court reporters or stenographers). Input 2 mics works fine, but when a third (and 4th) are plugged, an unbearable hum is created that renders the recording unusable. I assume the same prlem would exist for any sound recording.
