Sunpak 620-738 Quick Release Platform
The Sunpak 620-738 Quick Release Platform is for use with the 3-way panhead on Sunpak 6200DX digital tripods. The quick release plate can be kept attached to the camera's base and allows you to quickly and easily attach or remove the camera from the tripod without having to waste time fumbling with the threaded mount.

Works well as designed, Level is built into the tripod not the platform. Camera does not balance well with platform attached and not on the tripod, thus quick release is good if you plan to hold the camera. Not a major issue, but I am always looking to cut down on tasks.

I bought this product to replace on that I had misplaced. It has done an outstanding job repacing the one that is lost. You can leave it attached to the camera so it is simple to just place it right onto the tripod when need be. The only thing I have found is that it doesn't screw in tightly but I have not had any stability or any other issues because of this.

I lost the quick release platform to my Sunpak tripod somewhere between the Philadelphia and San Antonio airports. Unfortunately I didn't discover the loss till I got to my destination. Without the quick release, my tripod was useless. [...]It fits perfectly and I'm now back in business!
