Comments about Sunpak Compact Monopod:
I bought this monopod for light hiking with my D3100, a very light DLSR. The monopod is very light weight (flimsy) and colapsed on me several times while hiking. Forunately I was going uphill at the time and fell up the trail rather than down the trail. Took it back for a more reliable monopod. Not worth the risk of getting hurt. When they say it supports 3 lbs they mean only 3 lbs. It does not have a place to tighten the clamps so they don't slide so easily.
