Comments about Pentax DCF CS 10x42 Binocular:
I just returned from an Antelope hunt out West and had a chance to put the Pentax Model DCF CS 10x42 through a pretty demanding test. I'm very pleased with their overall performance. Great light gathering in low light, clarity, resolution, easy of operation (focus), quick target acquisition, and good form factor. These glasses are moderately light so wearing them from dawn to dusk while walking/stalking for miles each day was not an issue with a light harness. I did some research prior to selecting Pentax and found this model had good reviews. The best part of this buy was the reasonable investment in return for Pentax's great reputation for quality and an outstanding warranty. In my opinion these glasses rival the high-priced German and Austrian manufacturers. I would highly recommend these binoculars to anyone looking for a quality product at a decent price.

Comments about Pentax DCF CS 10x42 Binocular:
We ordered these binoculars for a trip to Yellowstone in order to better see the wildlife. This was a great choice. They were not too heavy to carry or to hold for extended sightings, they were durable on hikes, and we were able to see bear and wolves from a long distance. We were very happy with the [...] price at B&H and will keep them in mind when ordering in the future.

Comments about Pentax DCF CS 10x42 Binocular:
These are my first pair of quality binoculars and so this small review is mainly aimed at "first buy" customers.
My main uses are for casual bird-watching and hiking and I find that they are totally adequate for this. I have tried them in low-light conditions and find them very satisfactory. As regards weight and size, they are easily carried on hikes and the strap and case, which I have seen criticized in other reviews, are perfectly acceptable for my use and especially for the price paid. I hesitated between the 8x42 and this model and don't regret my choice. I was a little worried about shaking with the greater magnification but this hasn't been a problem so far.
There we are, a short not very technical review but one, I hope, that will help those looking for a first purchase of quality binoculars at a very reasonable price and, like me before buying them, are a little lost with all the models on the market!

Comments about Pentax DCF CS 10x42 Binocular:
I was looking to upgrade my older Nikon Travelite 9x25 binoculars, did some research and chose these. Great choice. They are an excellent combination of magnification, brightness, and features that make them easy to use. Esp. notable are the large exit pupil, eye relief and diopter adjustment. Their very competitive cost put them 'over the top' on my list.

We use our binoculars to birdwatch and view wildlife while boating. The visibility and brightness are very, very good. We would purchase these again.
