The Elinchrom D-Lite-2 IT 200ws w/Skyport (90-260VAC) redefines the possibilities of an economical, lightweight portable strobe: the D-Lite-2 IT (Intelligent Trigger) 200Ws monolight is a multi-voltage flash that recognizes and uses any AC power source from 90-260VAC; the power is variable in 1/10 steps from 12 to 200Ws; it recycles at full power in less than 1 second; flash duration is between 1/800 and 1/2000 second; the slave photocell adjusts automatically to camera strobe pre-flashes; and the cooling fan is controlled by a microprocessor that automatically keeps the temperature in the safety zone, eliminating any worries about over-heating.
It also features a built-in EL-Skyport Receiver which is compatible with the EL-Skyport ECO Transmitter and ELS Transmitter (neither included) for wireless triggering of your strobes (including 4 selectable frequency channels and 4 selectable independent groups), giving you a wide variety of options. This is an ideal flash for portraits, still life, product, architectural photography, and more.

Just bought 2 lamps, turned on one of them and tested the power. When I increased the power - the modeling lamp was broken :)

Comments about Elinchrom D-Lite-2 IT 200ws w/Skyport (90-260VAC):
I purchased this unit because I needed something with low output for small studio space. It goes down as low as 12W/sec.
Works ok so far, but made very cheaply.
It's all plastic and would not survive a fall.
Dynalite is much better made and more reliable, but the lowest it goes down to is 30W/sec.

Comments about Elinchrom D-Lite-2 IT 200ws w/Skyport (90-260VAC):
I've been using Elinchrom lights for a couple of years now and have a pair of 400bx and the D-Lite 400ws units but I found that I was limited not by their maximum power output but rather the minimum power. I really enjoy shooting at night with my Canon 5D II and prime lenses but I was forced to use the modeling lights which will only last about 30 minutes with the Innovatronix Explorer XT-SE because the minimum power on the 400 BX was giving me f/2.2 @ about ISO 200-400 depending on how far away my subject was from the light and that just wasn't bringing in enough light in the background for me. I think on my last shoot with the 200ws unit I was able to get ISO 2000 at minimum power. I'm knocking off a star because I feel like the built in receiver was not reliable. I practically had to be right next to my 74" octa to get it to trigger. If you have ever looked at the 74" you'll notice the monolight point in the same direction as if you are using an umbrella so that might have something to do with it. Other pros with the new unit is that it is physically shorter which is good for storage and it has better build quality.

Comments about Elinchrom D-Lite-2 IT 200ws w/Skyport (90-260VAC):
I'm really, really happy with this unit, because it came with the ac cable! Let me explain: brought the bxi500 kit 2 years ago and it arrived without the power cable. Still waiting for a voice from the costumer service dpt. This one also turns the fan only when it's necessary. Good lucky fishing for cables!

Comments about Elinchrom D-Lite-2 IT 200ws w/Skyport (90-260VAC):
I bought this light [...] I thought it was not bright enough. But, being about 2.5 times brighter than a Canon 580EX II, I was wrong. I was triggering it with the flash detector ("Eye Cell") and had not set my on shoe mount flash to manual, so the sync was not proper. Had I spent more time to troubleshoot it, I would have figured it out eventually. It's light and easy to use. Very simple. It may be the most inexpensive monolight with built in wireless.
