The Fujifilm FinePix XP10 12MP Digital Camera (Green) is a Blast, with a capital B. Sure, it's got 12.2 megapixels, a 5X optical zoom lens (equivalent to 36-180mm on a 35mm camera), a bright 2.7" LCD monitor, high sensitivity up to ISO 1600, image stabilization to prevent shaky pictures, and HD video at 720p resolution.
But what you might find even cooler (besides the choice colors) are the underwater HD video and photos, the beach- and slope-friendly dust-proof, freeze-proof (down to 14°F), shock-proof (up to a fall of 3') brawny can-do attitude of the XP10. It goes where you go, ready to come through with the best pictures and video you can produce, in conditions that would leave most digital point and shoot cameras on the disabled list. Don't leave home without it.

Well, I was looking for a camera to take to the pool and beach so I could take pics of my 1.5 year old son and my beautiful fiance and not have to worry about the camera getting wet and ruined. So I read lots of reviews on [@] and figured this was the best all around waterproof camera for the features/price/good review criteria I set for it. I ended up buying from B&H because of there super low price, lower than anyone else using the google shopping comparison. So I get the camera in a few days in the mail and don't expect much.. took it out the box, popped the battery in, took a couple test shots and BAM!!! Wow was I surprised. the camera feels very, very sturdy and solid. Not cheap feeling at all. Has a nice weight to it. And the pic looked great from taking shots indoor. I didn't expect it to take such good indoor shots, so I was very impressed. So on our vacation to Myrtle Beach I started taking pics left and right, up and down, and this camera did not disappoint. I took it into the pool and also into the beach water and believe it or not... it survived... and took excellent pics. I was skeptical of using it in the water thinking if this thing breaks, then im screwed. I took a chance at the pool and the underwater pics and even video that I took look awesome. Amazing actually. Then swam with in the ocean for a little bit, and alot got sand everywhere on it. It was 4th of July too, so I was taking alot of pics at night and had the camera on night mode, and let me tell you, I never knew a camera could take such nice, clear pics under the night sky. Just incredible. When we got back to our vacation condo, I just very easily rinsed it off and started viewing all the pics I had taken earlier. All in all I took about 100 pics and reviewed the pics quite often and showing people how they came out, and the battery was still fully charged... I could not believe it. Took that many pics, reviewed the pics on the screen many many times, and still on full battery at the end of the night. Boy was I amazed.Overall this is the only camera I need in our family, and my wife agrees. We have since gave away our primary Casio Exilim 7MP Super Slim camera to my sister-in-law. After using the Fuji-film XP10 we are certain that we won't need any other camera for a while, or at least until the Fuji-film stops working, lol.10-Stars **********

I took this camera on a few hikes and a backpacking trip, attempting to get lots of scenery shots with all sorts of different outdoor lighting conditions. I was excited about the advertised durability (waterproof, shockproof, dustproof, freezeproof), yet I don't think I'll have this camera long enough to need to worry about durability. I had trouble getting clear images, even with posed still shots. I tried many different shooting modes to get a clear picture with the right lighting. I also tried using the setting where the camera takes 2 shots (one right after another) one with a flash and one without... but this seemed to run down the camera battery VERY quickly. I hope this is what drained the battery so much, because it went low really fast! Once I switched it to a different shooting mode, battery seemed ok. Overall, I was not very happy with the quality of the images I got out of this camera. Too fuzzy and sometimes colors were washed out. Even using the up-close shooting mode to focus on flowers and details did not seem to work very well. I tried stabilizing the camera on a rock while taking pictures to reduce camera shake, but many of my pics were quite fuzzy! However this camera is waterproof and seemed to take decent underwater pictures. For only [$], I guess you get what you pay for.

Perfect for the mom who can't keep a camera working for more then a year and at a great price. The only problem I have had is you can't delete all the pictures off at one time unless on the computer.

Bought this camera for my tour in Iraq. Perfect being that it's dust proof! I love the camera, and the price is unbeatable. Takes great pictures, and video. Not too big, and not too small. Was easy to use, and had way more options than anticipated.

The camera was really great. All the features were helpful and beautiful as expected. Really clear underwater. Only downside is the lag in between shots. Also, the night mode wasn't really clear and most are blurred. Overall, it's a really great camera! Very affordable that takes great pictures like what DSLR takes.

I carry it in my pocket anytime I'm outside. My work puts me on the water and I often catch views worth capturing. Having a 12Mp camera that doesn't care about getting wet is perfect.

Purchased for a Hawaiian trip but since the trip is 6 months away I haven't had time to test it underwater yet.
Taking casual shots around the house it seems pretty easy to use and the pictures are descent quality.

Great little camera with good features and great quality pictures. Used underwater while snorkeling during a 7-day vacation in the Carribean. Pictures came out good, but many were not in focus. Also a little hard to see the view finder in bright shallow water, but taking many pics helped capture several good ones.

I used this camera on a cruise and shot some neat stills & videos while zip-lining and while snorkeling. Great value for the cost. Being a professional photographer, I also brought along an slr. I also took this camera skiing in very cold northern Vermont weather. I do like controlling the degree to which it overexposes in snow scenes to get the correct exposure for the people against snow but overall it's a great little camera and a lot of value for the cost.

I use this camera on construction sites, which is why I wanted a waterproof, dirtproof, shock resistant camera. I haven't dropped it yet, or had it splash down in a puddle, but the time will come! The pictures are good. It takes a little getting used to the lens position and not having a finger in the way. Easy to operate and learn. I bought this one as a test, now I will be buying more for my crews!

I used this came for underwater. It worked fine. Didn't got any water, yet. Picture quality is enough for this class of camera. The focusing is slow but picture are sharp enough for underwater. Mic. doesn't work good enough. The sound is like coming from the next room.

We take a lot of trips to the beach, so having a camera that can get wet or a little dirty is great. Its small, but buttons are large enough to make using it easy. The large display screen is very nice. The only downside thus far is that there are so many "modes" for taking pictures that it can take a little longer to set-up a shot. But I am hoping this will get easier over time (as we get more acclimated to the camera and all its features).
