I'm a novice looking for a good product at a reasonable price. A photographer friend suggested the Pentax Optio H90. I purchased one in white for myself. My daughters Canon died and my wife's Kodak was never any good, so I bought them each an H90 for Christmas - one in matte black for my daughter and one that looks like an orange popcicle for my wife. They both love them.

The camera is cheap. For [$] I would get this camera again. For all the other "cheap" cameras this one is my favorite because of the playful filters and editing capabilities on the camera. Yeah the pictures aren't super crisp, but then again this isn't a high powered SLR camera. ONLY thing I am annoyed of is the battery life. This thing doesn't really last to long, but I use it as a back up or a quick grab and shoot camera anyways. If you're thinking about getting this camera... Just get it. It'll be worth it.

i use this product for a trip because i broke my photocamera so i buy this one in a hurry. The optio90 is not beautiful in her exterior aspect so nobody try to steal it. It has a 12 mega pixels an excelent resolution for traveling, also has an x5 optical zoom and is lightweight and resistant. the most not great thin is the Lithium battery is not so good. really it was a good buy and i get a good assesement.

this camera is great to carry around... for the money, i'm very impressed with the quality and the overall look and design. i bought the camera because i've never owned a digital camera and wanted to have something to take nice photos with whenever. i've been shooting film for years but always thought it would be cool to have the instant gratification of a digital. my complaints about the camera are that there are way too many cheesy "frame" options, you know, the borders with hearts around them and silly things like that. i deleted them from the camera because they were taking up space (there is hardly any memory built in) and i didn't have a memory card yet, but when i did that, the camera wouldn't even allow a single photo to be saved internally. also, what i think is weird is the camera loves to manipulate the photos that are taken, be it with shutter speeds or something else to make them look like art photos. i have issues with this, as i bought the camera to just 'point and shoot' but sometimes, especially at night, this is not the case... lights are crazy and streaming all around, not just on night mode and the natural color no matter what setting always looks sepia toned to me.
in the end, it was worth the money and i have taken some nice photos with it.

I am very pleased with the camera. It looks old-school, but has all of the newest features. It has a great zoom and takes excellent pictures. Some pictures came out blurry but I think I was using the wrong setting. Lag time is faster than any other camera I tried.
