The Pentax Optio I-10 Digital Camera offers high-quality 12 megapixel imaging in a camera with a stylish retro design. This allows you to make poster size prints with great detail. Composing photos is easy on the camera's bright, 2.7" widescreen LCD screen. Auto Picture Mode analyzes your composition and automatically adjusts critical exposure settings for brilliant, hassle-free shooting.
The Triple Shake Reduction Technology includes a mechanical sensor-shift mechanism, digital Pixel Track SR, and Movie SR, and will give you sharp images even under adverse conditions. Take beautiful portraits with fast Face Detection, Smile Capture, and Blink Detection. The special processing modes provide outstanding skin tone rendering. If your subject is better captured in motion, no problem for this versatile camera; it takes high-quality videos. The wide-angle 5X optical zoom lens is equivalent to 28mm-140mm on a 35mm camera. This allows you to capture your subjects whether they are close by or in the distance.

I have another digital camera but it's big and I find myself not taking it with me, this little jem fits in my pocketbook and is so handy, and it's very easy to use. I got a converter drive to easily download photos to my computer (no cords) I am very pleased with this camera.

I've always liked Pentax and I was looking so forward to getting this camera because it got good ratings and i was sure i was going to like it but when it finally got here, i was very disappointed at it's picture quality. Every feature seems cool but when I took photos with it at different settings, it didn't really matter because the quality looked terrible in all the settings. I tried low light which of course i know that pictures cant be expected to come out great but i took pictures in good lighting hoping that maybe they would come out better. There was just too much fuzziness either way and the images did not look sharp at all.
I have a DSLR camera which takes fantastic photos with sharpness and clarity and I guess I wanted to get about the same quality in a smaller camera that I can carry along on trips or places where a big camera might be too bulky and that is why I chose this pentax but I guess for now I will have to carry my DSLR around or look around for a better point&shoot camera. Any suggestions?

This is a great camera for everyone. My camera geek friends are surprised by it's capabilities. All of the mode settings are explained in an easy way on the screen for exactly your picture desire. Takes great photos in all light and the anti shake feature is amazing! You can literally shake it and take a clear picture. On full digital zoom it steadies itself for a clear shot, amazing! Very short lag time. Buy one!
