I was very skeptical about buying a point and shoot camera. I own a Nikon D80 and was afraid nothing could come close to it. The quality as well as the fast focus. The Lumix DMC-ZR3 is wonderful. We went back to Disney World and I didn't want to pack the weight of the Nikon with me. The Lumix was not only light weight but did an exellent job. The camera focuses really quick and has little lag time in capturing your photograph. There were a few prints where because of low lighting (although it did shoot in some low lighting situations) I didn't get exactly what I wanted and the Nikon would have allowed more light in through the lens, but all in all I totally loved the camera. The weight and moreover the quality of photographs that I got to record our memories of this trip.

The Lumix DMC-ZR3R has delivered better than advertised picture performance. It is small, yet
easy to manage and provides all the features and zoom capabilities of a higher end point and shoot camera.

We take lots and lots of pictures of our newborn baby and they come out great. The zoom isn't always 100% clear, but otherwise the pictures are razor sharp.

I got this camera after prolonged debate about buying a compact camera or an SLR. I must say i made a very good decision when I decided to buy a compact camera first. Let me just start with the look of the camera - It looks amazing and it is so compact that it will easily fit in your regular shirt pocket. It is a 14.1 megapixel camera meaning that although it may look compact it takes massive pictures with amazing clarity. It works in 4:3, 3:2 and 16:9 modes without issues. I have not tried the video capture yet as I have yet to buy a high capacity SD card, but I'm sure it will do great.
I'm very happy with the purchase from B&H (as always) and I will definitely recommend this to anyone I know.

Intelligent Auto does everything for the casual fun/family photographer and makes the camera really easy to use. For those more skilled and demanding, the menus are extensive and intuitive, with results often approaching SLR standards without the bulk and weight of professional equipment.
I really liked the versatility from taking great landscape scenery shots then switching to close up for flower macros in just seconds.

Bought this as a replacement for a 5 year old Panasonic, and this is a great choice for a compact point and shoot. Would love a viewfinder, but that seems to be a vanishing feature for this size camera.
Comments about Panasonic LUMIX DMC-ZR3 Digital Camera (Red):
I knew when I bought this camera, that it would not be the best camera, but for the price, it takes great outdoor pictures and videos. I'm still having trouble with indoor pictures, there are two yellowish, but I'm still playing with the different options and hopefully will find one that work good enough.

My wife needed a camera that she could use without it being too difficult. I wanted her to have a camera with a great lens, like this leica glass in this. She loves the ease and quality of the photos she gets and loves how easy it is to change the ISO settings for almost every situation she's in.

I bought this for my Daughter & husband to take photos of the granddaughters. They have used it all through the holidays & the size of the camera means they can take it with them everywhere. They use the HD video feature to post videos on Facebook for us to see the kids. The only thing I forgot was to get them a tripod so they can use the self-timer to take a Family picture of themselves for us. They are enjoying it greatly.

My wife and I carry this camera as a second to our SLR's. When traveling and carrying our SLR's all day the LUMIX is a happy second for the evening out on the town. Takes great pictures, compact size and light weight make for a much more pleasant evening out. Never miss a shot opportunity.

So far so good. I've used many point and shoot cameras in the past and they've been pretty good, but didn't last very long (with 5 boys they get used a lot). I always went for the better model only to find out the next model is cheaper and better. This time I followed my research, saved money, and appears to be the right choice. Buttons are a little small and feels a little "light", but am satisfied with everything else.

Provides great pictures and great video. Easy to use and durable. My wife drop our Z1 into water and we order this to replace it and then 3 days later the Z1 still works fine. No we have both and are in great shape.

This is a great little camera that fits my wife's hands and purse. It was a breeze for her to operate out of the box. I have been impressed with the images taken so far, nice and crisp for a point and shoot. Panasonic was not my first choice, but I'm so glad I went with it for her. My only complaint is the counterintuitive placement of the shutter release button.
