Comments about ASUS N61Vg-A2 16" Notebook Computer:
I bought this Notebook primarily for school because of its super hard-drive to store all of my word documents. All of the other options such as the graphics, sound system, and fast processor are all great. this notebook is strong enough to store many movies and music. Also, i have made many short movies with no problems. this laptop has never let me down.
Thanks B&H and Asus

The laptop has been great even if I have had to learn a new system with Microsoft 7. It is never fun to set up a whole new computer but with the price on this one it took some of the edge off. The only short coming is that the numeric keypad is not the normal size so is hard to use at first.

Comments about ASUS N61Vg-A2 16" Notebook Computer:
This is a very decent laptop. Very quiet, very cool - much cooler than my hp hdx 16, which gets overheated if not used with a cooling pad during summer. Its pretty fast. its not the best gaming laptop but it does image processing and light gaming beautifully. of course for image processing a good additional monitor is recommended. the display it has is OK. its pretty bright, but view angle is very limited like most laptops. The touchpad is totally junk. The pointer starts jumping around once I put my finger on it. Can not move the pointer smoothly. It just skips back and forth. It is impossible to use. Driver update didnt work. Its got better after I uninstalled the driver, but is still very bad. An real mouse can solve this problem. The keyboard is not the best i've ever used, not as responsible as my hdx 16.

Great home computer so far. Biggest challenge has been lots of pre-loaded programs with little guidance on what they do.

Excellent notebook, high quality rugged good looking design. Good speed and has everything that you need in a portable. I've always been a "Dell" man but Asus has really impressed me. Runs cool too.
(Haven't tested battery life to the limit but appears to be about 3 hours)
You can even set it to turn off the touch-pad when a USB mouse is installed. (can't do this in my Dell)

Comments about ASUS N61Vg-A2 16" Notebook Computer:
All-in-all, a good laptop. I use it with Photoshop for post processing photos. Also use it for video, and the 1GB video card does the job. The SmartPad is terrible, however! I mostly use a laser mouse so don't use the SmartPad much. It is very jerky and difficult to maneuver with precision. I have another ASUS laptop with the same SmartPad (Elan) and it works just fine, so ASUS needs to refine the driver to correct this problem.
The battery life is not great, but with a performance laptop you really don't expect it to be.

Comments about ASUS N61Vg-A2 16" Notebook Computer:
I bought this laptop to use AutoCAD, Photoshop, and other design programs. It has done very well using these programs, I have not had to restart or close down a program and they run smoothly. I have also tried out the gaming side of this laptop and have been impressed with the capabilities there as well. All in all, I think it is a great computer!

Comments about ASUS N61Vg-A2 16" Notebook Computer:
It's a very quiet and powerful notebook. The ExpressGate software allows you web browsing, playing music, using Skype without loading the operating system. I've bought the eSATA external drive with this notebook – it is 2.5 times faster than USB 2.0 devices. The display is not so great, vertical angles are smaller than I expected. Anyway this is a wonderful deal considering the offered discount. The friend of mine has already ordered this notebook by my recommendation :)

[...] The laptop offered was also the cheapest of its model I found on Internet.About the laptop: very good looking. The interior is modern while the skin is dark brown and glossy. It looks like an exquisite expensive piece of electronics. It comes with a lot of software preinstalled and I really don't know which I should (not) delete. The loudspeaker is premium!WC is like black & white but image is very sharp. Not really 8sec boot-up as advertised (maybe because it is loaded with lots of application?)There's a small creaky but enduring sound from inside when the laptop is running. It is a lil bit irritating.

After shopping all over the inet I found this Asus notebook to be the best bang for my buck. This notebook has 1 GB dedicated video memory a sign of a higher end product. I purchased two of these for my twin boys upcoming college. I warranty on Asus products is unsurpassed, 1 year accidental and 2 years for manufacturers defect/problem. A lot of people are not familiar with the Asus name but it represents quality, up to date technology and value. I also have a couple of their LCD monitors and have used their motherboards for years. Great product, Great value

Comments about ASUS N61Vg-A2 16" Notebook Computer:
-Personally I think ASUS makes the best computer/notebooks on Earth! The craftsmanship accompanied by loaded features for an affordable price are nearly unmatched. They put American, Japanese, and Chinese companies to shame especially ones like Dell.[...]Easily with tons of laptops like this one, ASUS is soon to be alone at top of notebook market. This computer is simply amazing! Intel's P8700 processor is so blazing fast, this Core 2 Duo CPU is just screaming with speed! Everything I have thrown at it is flipping done instantly with little or no waiting. Even loads Windows 7 fast! The GT 220 GPU is not too shabby either. I have been a AMD fan for a while and decided to give Intel another shot. A bad experience with Dell made me re-think Intel's quality.Great notebook from and Asus and it runs so smooth and with a cool sometimes cold keyboard. No problems with it so far, I have had this computer for 3 days now. B&H ships so fast too.Overall this computer is well worth over the $800~1200 price range, and outperforms all other laptops at the same price. Plus 2-year warranty was nice surprise.Only thing maybe they could have done better was make the max screen resolution at the least 1440x900. I had to also update a few programs and drivers on it because its release date is actually a bit older than newer laptops, but it wasn't too much a hassle. Make sure you update the drivers if you desire the best performs and keep pressing that annoying Windows Update program until it has nothing else left to list as an update. Also register the warranty, you got 60-Days to do so, do this immediately don't hesitate.I'm not picky, I know I got this laptop for a steal(350 bucks off). It brings heavy performance and power that rivals even future gaming laptops.Thank you B&H, this was my first purchase from you guys and I am sure I will definitely recommend you to all my kin and friends!

I bought this laptop to replace one that our 2yr has been steadily destroying over the past year or so. We don't currently have a desktop so this is it. We use it for the usual internet, skyping, documents, and occasional gaming which it handles with ease :)
I was really surprised at how much I got for the price! Most laptops w/ similar specs go for over $1,000. Fast, not a ton of bloatware, and so far I love it!
Also, they didn't mention this in the information when I ordered but along w/ the laptop I received a wireless mouse, a screen cleaning cloth, and a bag! (yes it's the little things that make me happy)
I am having a little difficulty w/ the mousepad because it's so sensitive and the way it's set up to scroll, etc. but I think that I'll get used to it in time.
