The hähnel HC-500D Infra BatteryGrip is designed for use with 1 or 2 Lithium-ion batteries with Canon EOS 450D, 500D, or 1000D digital SLR cameras. This battery grip includes an infrared remote control transmitter which is used to activate a receiver built into the battery grip. The remote control is ideal for DSLRs built without the infra red control.
This device allows improved camera handling especially when long focal lenses are used. The HC-500D is fitted with a vertical shutter release, giving you a second set of controls which mimic the ones on your camera and enable aperture and shutter speed adjustments. Additionally, the stylish BatteryGrip matches perfectly with the camera body. It is equipped with a storage compartment for the camera battery door when BatteryGrip is in use.
- Double Power
- With 2 Lithium-ion battery packs the available power is approximately doubled for longer, uninterrupted camera use. With the BatteryGrip in place you avoid running out of power at a critical moment.
- Vertical Shutter Release & Command
- The BatteryGrip allows for vertical shutter release making shooting with the camera in a vertical position just as comfortable as shooting horizontally. It will also enable aperture and shutter speed adjustments.
- Improved Handling
- With a lower point of gravity, the BatteryGrip provides improved camera handling, especially when long focal length lenses are used.
- Built-in Infrared Receiver
- The HC-500D is designed for digital SLRs without an integrated infrared remote receiver. This gives an added benefit of a remote control facility to SLRs without an existing built-in system.
- Remote Control Transmitter
- The BatteryGrip comes with infrared remote control which allows remote shooting within a range of up to 32.8 - 39.4' (10 - 12m) and reduces camera shake. The remote control transmitter provides autofocus before shutter release and continuous shutter release or bulb.
- Power Management
- Built-in power management regulates the power output to the camera for maximum efficiency. 1 or 2 Lithium-ion Battery Packs, even at different charge levels, can be used.
