Note! With this adapter the automatic diaphragm will not work, so meter reading must be made with the lens aperture stopped down.

This adapter works well for securing M42 lenses to
my K mount DSLR. This adapter makes it easy to install and remove legacy Pentax glass on your K mount camera. I highly recommend the K adapter from Pentax.

I am using this for the SMC takumar lens I got on the net used. It works and right now having no problems. Others have problems with this mount. Second it was sent very quickly I give praise to B&H in that they are fast shipers I dare say the fastest even faster than the Big A!, if you know who I mean.
Their customer service is very good.
Things I do not like about it, even thought it works have yet to figure out if it is a knock off or original pentax part. But it works. It could fit better in the camera. You must be real carefull putting it in. Whether it is original part or not it could fit better should be seamless. But that is not B&H fault it is the part makers fault. I might have given it one too many stars but the extra star for service and arriving quickly.

I use this adapter to attach a Pentax 55mm Takumar screw mount lens (from about 1964-65) to my K10D. It is well made and easy to use.
The only minor negative is that it attaches to the camera mount rather than to the lens and I have to release a little latch on the mount to remove it. Not a problem really but takes an extra few seconds to reattach a K-Mount lens.
