The Samsung SL605 Digital Point and Shoot Camera (Red) is a rugged, durable 12.2 MP camera that doesn't need kid gloves--with an anti-scratch mask to prevent everyday scratches, and rubberized construction on the bottom, and around the buttons and LCD display, you can take it anywhere, anytime and get the shots you want without worry.
Under its rough-and-tumble exterior, though, the SL605 has the soul of an artist. The 27-135mm equivalent wide angle zoom lens is perfect for almost any kind of shot you want, from landscapes to portraits to sports. Image stabilization and a Smart Night Mode mean you can keep shooting when the light gets low, and still get great photos.
Smile Shot and Blink Detection combined with Face Detection take the guesswork out of taking pictures of your friends and family--this camera waits for the smile, avoids the blink, and maximizes exposure and focus for the faces of the people you love.
And after you've got your shot, you can apply a wide range of color styles to your pictures (including styles you create yourself) and make prints directly from the camera (without a computer) with any PictBridge-enabled printer (available separately).

Comments about Samsung SL605 Digital Camera (Red):
All my friends complain about how grainy our pictures look. At night, either outdoors or at a bar, pictures might even come out COMPLETELY black (dark). It's hard for others to take pictures of me because it takes a while to focus and if you don't, pictures will look extremely blurry. The only good pictures will be in SUPER bright outdoors settings around 12-2pm , past that, this camera is useless.

Comments about Samsung SL605 Digital Camera (Red):
We love our new camera! We have taken pictures of our beautiful flower garden and the pictures come out in great detail. We've also gotten excellent shots of little league games but you have to play with the settings so get familiar with it! We did take it to a graduation that had terrible lighting and the pictures were blurry at a long distance so if you want nice distance shots this is not for you but if you want a regular every day use camera we think it's perfect!

Comments about Samsung SL605 Digital Camera (Red):
i received this camera as a birthday present and was really looking forward to picture taking. but the few things i didn't like, bothered me enough [...] what bothered me a lot was how the menu is set up. other cameras offer more efficient ways of getting to the settings and options you're looking for. ex: to video, you need to go to menu, then mode, scroll down about 7 things until the movie option. after you take a picture, it takes a good 6 seconds before you can take the next picture. the camera i exchanged this for is a 4 second wait.if you're in no rush than it doesnt make a diff. but when you're taking picutes of ppl or things that move quickly, you can really miss out. i found the quality of the pictures to be so so, but not great. as much as i played around with the lighting settings, i couldn't find something the worked well in my apartment. there are some great things about it, like being able to capture a still image from a video you've taken. or being able to turn a colored picture into black and white. i also liked that you can set the camera to red eye so you don't need to edit the pictures after.there are diff. lighting settings and it probably could have been played around with more, but not being able to get to the video quickly irked me enough [...]
