Elinchrom D-Lite-2 IT 200Ws 2-Light To Go Set (90-260VAC)
The Elinchrom D-Lite-2 IT 200Ws 2-Light To Go Set (90-260VAC) expands the possibilities of a lightweight, portable strobe kit with two 200Ws D-Lite IT (Intelligent Trigger) portable flashes, two 9' (2.75 m) light stands, a Skyport ECO transmitter for wireless triggering of your strobes, two 25 x 25" (63.5 x 63.5 cm) softboxes, a sync cord, a stand bag to protect your light stands, a user manual, DVD intro and guide, and a carrying case for storing and transporting the entire kit.
These multi-voltage flash heads recognize and use any AC power source from 90-260VAC, the power is variable in 1/10 steps from 12 to 200Ws, and the cooling fan is controlled by a microprocessor that automatically keeps the temperature in the safety zone. This is an ideal kit for portraits, still life, product, architectural photography, and more.

- Built-In Skyport Triggering
- The built-in Skyport Speed receiver provides wireless triggering of up to four groups and four channels. Included in the kit is a Skyport ECO Trigger, which allows you to choose from up to four frequencies (channels); no group features are supported with Skyport ECO trigger. Optional Standard Skyport Triggers can take advantage of the group features of the D-Lite IT. The Skyport ECO Trigger has two sync modes, standard sync mode (1/160 sec) or Speed (1/250 sec).
- Eye-Cell Technology
- When using D-Lite ITs in optical slave mode with cameras, or shoe-mount flashes with a pre-flash, users can program the number of pre-flashes or have the head automatically program itself--a great way of mixing lights.
- Proportional Modeling Light Setup
- Power adjustments are made in 1/10th stop increments. The modeling lamp can be controlled proportionately, set to minimum or maximum level, or switched off.
- Power Steps
- Output can be modified in 1/10 increments.
- Thermally Controlled Fan Management
- The cooling fan is controlled by a microprocessor and switches on automatically when the internal temperature increases.
- New Stand Mount
- The new, more robust stand mount also adds a universal umbrella mount, like all other Elinchrom heads--the mount can accept umbrellas with shafts of 8 or 9mm.

I use these lights to shoot my clothing line and they are fabulous... Really cheap strobe lights that just work great .. I like that they are easy to carry around because they don't have power packs and they are really light weight... If your the kind of photographer that likes to look fancy,buy lots of pointless equipment, and have huge party fashion shoots these are probably not for you... They look very amateur and are nit flashy at all... But if your the kind of photographer shooting in their studio alone on a tight busget this is beyond perfect... Also other reviews said it was hard to operate and a little confusing which made me a bit nervous but I'm not sure how a picture of a light bulb to turn the model light on and off is confusing .....

Well designed, excellent controls, good Manfrotto stands, very nice storage bags. This second generation D-Lite fixes the small problems identified in the first generation: stands have universal screw threads so they can be used for other things, soft boxes are easy to assemble. Don't know what else it could have. Seems like money well spent. Glad I didn't go with the cheap Chinese brands. [...]

This is a great set of starter lights. I plan on purchasing a higher end light to use as a key. These lower powered lights will make great fill and hair lights when using a higher end key light.

I use the set to take portraits at home for friends and family. I am a true novice but I love the set and it does an excellent job. I have used it for a couple of weeks and I really could not ask for more, I am sure the pro's may be left needing a little more but for what I use these lights for they really do an excellent job. By the way soft boxes come with instructions now and are very easy to set up.

The set is very light, making it easy to handle. The softbox, is also very light so, it does not sag. Excellent quality.
Two aspects not so good:
- The softbox is not the easiest thing in the world to put together
- The softboxes and cables do not fit in the cases provided
Nevertheless, it deserves five stars.

This was a great way to go for me. Just enough to learn on but not a cheaper system that I would be embrassed to use in a pro-situation. The Skyport is what sold me and I love the ease of use. The Stands are great and the softboxes are fine-- The speed rings (if you want to call it that are the low part of this system--They say you can use Rotolux/Elinchrom softboxes so maybe it not a big deal-
