We are still just introducing ourselves to this new IPad. Got it right before Thanksgiving and didn't have our home wifi hooked up yet so with that taking longer than anticipated we didn't get to play around with it much until last night. Thus far, it has been fantastic. We plan on using this as an educational tool so I downloaded a couple of apps and so far it looks like there are tons to choose from. Of course it would be great if they were all free:) but the prices are all very reasonable. Most under $5. Still waiting on a screen protector a must have if little ones are going to be on it, and since the only person that has touched it thus far has been me and it is already all fingerprinted, I would suggest it for anyone. Also bought a hard case to protect from those same little ones:) This is the first "Touch" product we have purchased and so far it seems very responsive and easy to use. Overall, great product.

I've been dealing with this iPad for several months now and it is not only way below expectations but it just drives me crazy when it does not perform as it is supposed to. Apple support is virtually useless. Honestly, the iPad is a great product but with so many embedded restrictions, flaws and bugs that I can hardly stand it.
I wouldn't ever recommend an Apple product.

How did I ever live without this. Way better than a laptop. I don't even need the G3. You need one of these bad.

I use this product when I am at dialysis, confined to a chair. It is very easy to use, especially due to its portability. I have the world wide web in my hands, without having to hold an entire laptop. I do not like that the screen is so small, and I have a hard time making things larger. With practice, it should be fine.

Comments about Apple 64GB iPad Tablet (First Generation):
Great product that I use for teaching and personal use. The app store has tons of different educational apps. The news apps and social network apps are great as well. The charge lasts for at least 10 hours. I take it to work and will play music off of it all day while the students do work. The speakers, while not as good as a speaker system, do the job well enough.

Comments about Apple 64GB iPad Tablet (First Generation):
I bought an iPad when they were first available - and my wife has been envious ever since. She now has an "excuse" to own one - she's going freelance - so she asked me to order her one.
She is going bonkers. She just returned from a trip to meet a new prospective client, and her iPad was invaluable. She used it to navigate... take notes... even provide entertainment while she was on the road.
I've found the same thing. I use my iPad at all my client meetings... at conferences... as a photo storage device... and an entertainment center. I take it with me on vacation and use Pages to work while I'm away.
It's so much easier to carry than a laptop... handles every task I need it to... and provides a truly authentic reading experience. (If you love books, the iPad simply crushes the Kindle and other "readers.")
The only drawback I've found is that the iPad doesn't support Flash... so some websites are useless. But YouTube is no problem, so you can watch tons of movies for free.
All in all, I'd much rather carry the light and compact iPad than a laptop. And the selection of apps makes it tremendously useful for news, navigation, and just about any other purpose you can imagine.

This is our first iPad. It has taken a while to adjust to the differences from the MacBook Pro but we find ourselves appreciating the differences as we discover them.
Comments about Apple 64GB iPad Tablet (First Generation):
My most use is web navigating and this iPad is better than laptops because lightweight and long time battery.

I am typing this from my IPad 64 with Wi-Fi. The product lives up to the expectation. If you have an iPod touch you will like the iPad much much more. BHphotovideo.com was great to work with in ordering my iPad. [...] I prefer to talk to someone when ordering stuff from the Internet, old fashion that way. I highly recommend B&H for all your electronic needs and wants.

I bought the IPAD for my wife primarily for our travelling endeavors in which to watch movies, photos, music and such. She already had the Iphone and Macpro laptop so this seemed like a logical step but I didn't expect her to go lunatic fringe with this new toy. She now takes the "pad" everywhere she goes.

This was bought for my father as a Christmas gift. I bought it as a portable computer and e-reader. He only uses it at home, and so the WiFi only model was fine. His computer is downstairs, and he would walk down just to check his e-mail, or look something up. Now with the iPad, he can do it upstairs in his bedroom. He has found the e-reader very handy too. The lack of even a slip case was why I dropped it to 4 stars. An inexpensive slip case should have been in the box.

The ipad is great. It exceeded my expectations. The only downside is Itunes, but I can bear with it to have an ipad! It's amazing!

I have an iPhone but it is hard to see the small screen at times and manipulate the buttons. The larger screen format is much easier to see and interact with, with almost all the same functionality. The screen reorientation feature is a little too sensitive for me, but can be dealt with.
Comments about Apple 64GB iPad Tablet (First Generation):
The product is great. I wish it could run flash player, there are some sites that it has trouble with but otherwise I am very happy to surf the web from the couch without a laptop.

Use the iPad to view news and serf web. Also great for the kids to play games in the car on trips. Great screen and touch interface. Quick start-up. Use to laptop, so would like a larger screen. Deviced used more in living room than as a mobile device.

Comments about Apple 64GB iPad Tablet (First Generation):
I use the IPAD as an entertainment device more than anything else. It also is my favorite way to check the news and weather, thanks to the great Apps that are available. There is nothing quite like the experience of using this device. Playing games is better, checking email is better, reading a book is better and it all fits in your hands. It is also my favorite way to watch TV and movies. The only drawback is I am afraid of dropping the device.
