[...]The product was taken to India. It works great there (even with 50Hz 220V supply). The only issue is that it takes along time to get the IP address from the ADSL modem (could be the modem at fault). The issue I have is that since walls in the houses here are made of brick and cement (not sheet-rock and insulation) the wireless signal does not go past 2 rooms. I wonder if technology is what is limiting its capability (?).Other than that, the thing has performed like a beauty :)

I have a Netgear Rangemax 802.11g router that was performing great. However, thinking that I had to move to 802.11n given my newly acquired video streaming devices and seeing the low price for this router, I thought I'd give it a try. The router is pretty trivial to set up (all good), and sitting next to it, I was able to get 20+ Mbps on my Comcast high speed internet service using Speedtest. However, as I moved to the next room and further, the speed dropped precipitously to 3 Mbps or so. I was getting 12+ Mbps with my 802.11g router literally all over my house. So I just switched back to using that router. If I could, I would return this router, since all it's doing is sitting idly on my shelf :-(.
If you don't have a very high speed internet connection to start with, or plan to be working in the same room as the router most of the time, this router may be a reasonable choice. Unfortunately, that's not my use case, and the only reason for my giving this router a low rating.

It works fine for my limited situation - one small studio space. Can't beat the price. Had some glitches with setup, called company and rep walked me through it.

Comments about D-Link DIR-601 Wireless-N 150Mbps Home Router:
I have currently used the router for a few weeks, and have had absolutely no issues with it. I get close to no hang time, and is miles more stable than any of the other G/B routers that I have used. Installation was quick and simple, and I was on the internet within 10 minutes. Overall an excellent router and very reliable.

Comments about D-Link DIR-601 Wireless-N 150Mbps Home Router:
I used this as an exclusive N router and hooked up my older G router to it, so now I have 2 separate wireless networks. I can now use my N devices at full speed without being slowed by other connected G devices.

Comments about D-Link DIR-601 Wireless-N 150Mbps Home Router:
I bought it simply because it was the cheapest ([$] on sale) wireless router I could find, and so far it has performed as well as I could hope. Connection is fast and consistent, no drops, no slow downs. My internet connection is about 40 Mbps down/20Mbps up (connects to campus Ethernet) and I get the same speeds both through direct Ethernet connection and this router's wireless network.

I needed a reasonably priced N router for my house... who doesn't? This fit the bill and has worked great so far. The range is enough to cover my 1600 sq ft house, and speeds are great, too. I'm satisfied

Good router but setup is not very intuitive and you need to spend more time to configure it correctly than you would with a better help and user interface.

The size is perfect for my work area (small) and it works exactly as it was designed to perform. I especially like the vertical stand. The colored lights are a little bright for a small room but that was easily remedied. Excellent value for the price.

Comments about D-Link DIR-601 Wireless-N 150Mbps Home Router:
Bought the router for its wired capability. (I know, most people buy it for wireless.) Its WIFI is default enabled, so you must disable it if your cable modem is already running a WIFI network in your home. Otherwise, you'll encounter "a fight to the death" as each establishes competing in-home networks.

Comments about D-Link DIR-601 Wireless-N 150Mbps Home Router:
Bought this to install ddwrt on it so that I could use this as a repeater. Found out that it would have to be set up as a client bridge. I tried to set it up but soon found out that the client bridge setting doesn't work for this router. I was able to get the internet only by ethernet and not wireless which is the issue everyone else has.
Aside from this firmware issue the router is great. Does what its suppose to do. Will it stand the test of time though...
