The Gator Cases G-MONITOR2-GO19 Lightweight 19" Flat Screen Monitor Case (Black) is made of rigid EPS lightweight foam with an EVA top and a soft adjustable base support. It is designed to fit a flat screen monitors up to 19". There are internal padded straps to secure the monitor. The case has a storage compartment for cables and other peripherals. It is carried by an ergonomic grip handle or a removable, adjustable shoulder strap with non-slip pad.

I chose this to transport an all in one panel pc, which is sized approximately like a 19" flat panel monitor.
This case is very light but feels much safer than a soft case. It has fairly rigid sides and has some extra padding to take up space vertically or horizontally.
The only thing I think this bag could use is a little extra storage - it won't hold much more than the monitor and cables. I would not check this on an airplane.
