The M.Zuiko Digital ED 14-150mm f/4.0-5.6 Zoom Lens from Olympus is a high-power wide to telephoto zoom (28-300mm in 35mm equivalent) that offers amazing optical performance in an extraordinarily compact and lightweight (9.87 oz, 280 g) design.
In order to fit the requirements for Micro Four Thirds System cameras, this lens features a reduced lens diameter (2.5", 63.5mm) and overall length (3.3", 83mm) with a minimum image field of 78 x 59mm. It is constructed with 15 elements in 11 groups, employing ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass elements to suppress the color aberration that can degrade image quality, particularly at wide-angle focal lengths.
The wide focal range of this lens is perfect for everything from portraits and interior scenes to sports and landscape photography. Mounted on the camera full-time, it's ready for any photo opportunity.

Having moved over to Micro Four-Thirds I have bought several lenses. I bought the Olympus 14-150mm lens to take on holidays (as on those occasions I don't want to be changing lenses). It feels solid, but not heavy; the lens does not self open when the camera is pointing down (this is a great plus especially when travelling). The images it produces are very clear and crisp through the whole range without vignetting in the corners.I am very pleased to be able to take wide angle and extreme zoom photos all from the one lens. If you travel or only ever want one lens, then this is highly recommended.

Sharp, but that's where it ends. It is slow, really cheap plastic feel, total China-ware. I sent mine back, I would rather spend my money on some quality glass. In light of the old Olympus OM mount lenses, this is a step back. This could be a proper kit lens for less than $200, then it would leave people in the 'best bang for the buck' realm, and no one would complain. You get what you pay for. With a tag in excess of [$], this feeling is not there--just the louder than usual sound of the zoom ring turning.Seeing Panasonic, Leica and maybe soon Sigma in the micro 4/3 lens arena, Olympus simply has to do better. Get back the old shine!

Comments about Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 14-150mm f/4.0-5.6 Zoom Lens (Micro Four Thirds):
i just bought this lens with the new VF3 together, it works pretty good at the focal length like up to 100mm
its still reasonable in 150mm with good light.
weight is light, after i put this on, this let me thinking of trade off the 9 - 18mm.

Comments about Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 14-150mm f/4.0-5.6 Zoom Lens (Micro Four Thirds):
This was paired with an Oympus Pen Ep-3 Micro 4/3ds camera that initially came with a 17mm lens. My mother has always been a keen wildlife photographer and she turned 73 this year. She still goes on Safari, but the weight of the camera system was getting to her hands. So I gifted her a Pen system with this as her zoom lens.
She has almost always used Cameras with interchangeable and for decades she used Minolta and Nikon SLRs. She is very happy with the size and weight of the camera lens. She feels its not too bulky for the Pen 3 camera either. She wishes it was faster and could focus better in low light situations which can sometimes gets exasperating for her. But by her own admission, this lens has allowed her to just use a camera more as it is not a physical burden.

Comments about Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 14-150mm f/4.0-5.6 Zoom Lens (Micro Four Thirds):
Purchased this lens for my PEN2 just before our 2 week trip to Ireland. I was considering the 14 - 54mm II because of all the positive reviews; but after talking to an Olympus tech repon the phone about other lenses as well, I chose the 14-150 mm and I'm so glad I did. It performed admirably at all focal lengths providing excellent detail of all the 2000+ photos I took. Having an equivalent 35mm range of 28-300mm served all my needs for this trip. I had the camera either in Program mode or Shutter priority ( 500th sec ), auto white balance & ISO and all the pictures came out clear with true to life color reproduction. The lens had minimal issues with focusing and only hunted occasionally at maximum focal lengths when there was not enough contrast. Focusing speed was the norm for the PEN2 which isn't the quickest but serves most of my needs since my photo interest is primarily landscapes. This lens also performed well in low light conditions where flash was not permitted. When using my Olympus FL36R flash to shoot the interiors of our various accomodations, this lens performed admirably when I just let the flash do its thing or when I adjusted the output due to distance and interior lighting conditions. The lens is well made, no lens creep, and feels good ergonomically. I have the VF2 viewfinder which helps hold the camera steady especially when shooting at those longer focal lengths and also shooting from the coach (bus) when riding to your next tour location ( this is when I shot at 500th sec ). I purchased the B&W MRC F-Pro UV Haze filter for my lens and was pleased with the results. I am a B&W filter fan because of their quality & performance. As usual, I was pleased with placing my order through B&H. [...]I strongly recommend this lens.

I purchase this to replace the kit 14mm-42mm that came with the Olympus E-P2 and give me a single lense that would cover a good range for walking around. In 35mm format this covers 28-300 and very small and lightweight. So far the images are excellent.

Comments about Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 14-150mm f/4.0-5.6 Zoom Lens (Micro Four Thirds):
I love this lens - it replaces the two in the usual kit (14-42 and 40-150) with almost the same aperture. If it was a little faster and a little lighter, I'd give it five stars.

Comments about Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 14-150mm f/4.0-5.6 Zoom Lens (Micro Four Thirds):
I switched from dual lens setup (14-42mm+40-150mm) to this one lens solution. It feels so liberating without the need to constantly changing between those two. The lens is sharp throughout the entire range and I found no noticeable difference between this and the the other two lenses in terms of sharpness and contrast. My only finding is that I have to use shutter speeds of 1/500s or faster for optimal sharpnes at the long end (the difference is significant). The lens produces wonderfully smooth bokeh at longer focal lengths. The mount is metal. I beleive the correct price point for this lens would be $399 as it is still mostly plastic, very slow aperture and is manufactured with low production costs in China

This lens stays on the EPL2 most of the time. The reach is great and it's super light and not too big. The bokeh is incredible and the lens is nice and sharp. I can't think of anything wrong with it. I love it!

Comments about Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 14-150mm f/4.0-5.6 Zoom Lens (Micro Four Thirds):
I got it today and tested it by photographing seagulls in Alexandria, VA. Very sharp, wonderful lens. I have used it with my Lumix G10. The only problem (in my humble opinion): slow "AFC"-continuous focus. In general, slow or "confused" auto focusing with Panasonic bodies. Nevertheless, works fabulously on manual (portraits, macro etc.) Not the fastest lens: f/4 max. However, wonderful "рисунок-ornament", as they say in Russia (color, midtones, contrast etc. )PC: You can get it for [$]. [...]

I use my camera for everything from nature shots to photographs of musicians in low light situations. This lens takes beautiful pictures with enough light, but I was slightly disappointed with my low light shots. I use it with my E-P2.
