With 3000 ANSI Lumens of brightness at a contrast ratio of 2100:1 the WXGA-resolution InFocus IN2116 Portable Widescreen DLP Projector has the power to make big pictures in big rooms even when it has to punch through ambient light.
That vivid, high contrast picture is courtesy of Texas Instruments DLP DMD (Digital Light Processor Digital Micromirror Device) technology with BrilliantColor. This projector also incorporates TI's new DDP2431 scaler, which enables 10-bit signal processing for more vibrant, lifelike images.
Those vibrant colors can be in a number of video formats. The IN2116 can handle NTSC, NTSC4.43, PAL, PAL-M, PAL-N and SECAM signals as well as 720p, 1080i and 1080p high definition programming. It's also got a 100 – 240 V AC, 50/60 Hz international power supply and its OSD (on-screen display) offers a choice of 17 languages.
The IN2116 is a hard-working piece of equipment. It's rated to work on a 24/7 duty cycle. Whether you have a house full of serious TV addicts or a commercial or industrial application that requires a projector with the utmost of durability, you can rely on the IN2116. If you do decide to give it a rest you'll be glad to know that it draws less than a single watt in standby mode.
You can also control it remotely—very remotely—over your home network or corporate LAN. The free ProjectorNet 3.0 software makes monitoring and maintaining your IN2116 a snap.

Comments about InFocus IN2116 Portable Widescreen DLP Projector:
I have had this projector for 2 weeks and it has survived rough handling and traveling in a Pelican case very well. It augments an InFocus LP 850 that cost almost three times as much 4 years ago. I travel with both projectors in austere, primitive locations to give technical presentations. The 2116 is not in the same commercial class as the LP 850 but I do not miss the weight, more peak illumination or lack of speakers of the LP 850. The 2116 is holding up well so far and the two 5 watt speakers work perfectly for classes of 30 or less. I am NOT a fan of the sensitive capacitive switches on the top of the machine. I accidently triggered the language menu prior to a presentation and got a Korean instruction screen. InFocus did not include English language instructions in the included instruction booklet! The English language "fold out" was missing. This occurred at Christmas and InFocus telephone and web support were off line. My class was not happy. It took almost an hour of searching other InFocus models English manuals on the web to figure out that the "gear" icon was the entry to the language tree. The rarely used switches are now covered with gaffers tape. I am very pleased with the price / performance of the new machine when compared to its predecessor and so far the quality of the few video presentations have been excellent. If the IN2116 continues to perform as well, the LP 850 will be retired soon. Overall, great product for the price. Lack of English instruction when sold in the USA, bad form.
