This stereo matched pair of R-122 Live ribbon microphones from Royer is ideal for live performance applications. Each mic has a 4-micron aluminum ribbon with a Figure-8 polar pattern to provide equal sensitivity on both sides of the element. The ribbon also provides consistent performance, regardless of the distance of a sound source.
The ribbon has a smooth, natural response and a fully balanced head amplifier system with a specially-wound toroidal transformer and ultra low-noise FETs. This phantom powered circuitry provides extremely high output, low self-noise and distortion, as well as impedance matching. The ribbon is designed to be exceptionally durable, and it is not affected by heat or humidity, allowing you to take the mics between venues without worrying about damage.
