Auralex 2" Studiofoam Wedge-22 (Charcoal) - Single Tile
The 2" Studiofoam Wedge-22 acoustic panel from Auralex is an overall absorber, suitable for just about any mid- to high-frequency application. The panel should be used primarily to treat small to medium-sized areas, including vocal booths, control rooms and sound studios.
The 2 ft2 tile effectively kills standing waves and flutter echoes. And when used in conjunction with LENRD, or Venus Bass Traps, or the Sunburst Broadband Absorbers, will tame the full frequency bandwidth in virtually any room.

I used these wedges to help reduce flutter echo and ringing in a 300 sqft practice room. The main benefit for me was the ability to easily experiment and customize the tile placement to achieve my objective without deadening the sound too much. I also took advantage of the auralex website where I uploaded a diagram of the room and got back some ideas from one of their engineers. The only bad thing about the product is the way auralex wraps individual tiles. They come rolled up and wrapped in cellophane which scrunched them up and makes them ununiform. When you buy a whole case they come neatly stacked.

I used this foam to create a portable sound booth when I am recording voice-overs on location. Perfect size to cut up into a collapsible cube and does a good job of deadening room noise.
