The picture quality versus my old TV is umatched. I have viewed many HD TVs prior to this purchase and the quality of the picture is equal or better

Directions for the internet TV were not the best. Turns out you have to register the product and set up an account online before you can use the service.

I did a ton a research before committing to the 6500 and was still unsure until I received it, unpacked it and turned it on. The reviews from CNet, while a great resource, did not do this tv justice. The blacks are deep and rich and the 120hz is just fine for football and action movies. The image quality is almost too good, if that makes any sense. This replaced an older Samsung 32" which I was just as happy with, but which was only 720p and didn't have the internet features of the 6500. If you have Netflix, this is a great addition, to be able to download your movies right to the tv.

I just purchased this TV (Jan.2011).... My first new TV since 1985!! I needed a set that fit into a 30.5" space.
Hook-up was easy to just watch off air programs. Hooking up my legacy players is not going to happen. The stuff is just too old.
As I am learning about the latest equipment it doesn't seem like an impossible task to get back in business.
Picture quality is marvelous.

Use in bedroom. Simply one of the best that I have seen. Very easy to set up. Beautiful HD picture with 1080p resolution. Elegant looking - only 1 inch thick or thin if you prefer. Only thing to keep in mind which I did not learn till late in the setup was that it uses M8 bolts to mount on a VESA adapter plate. You need a 200mmx200mm adapter plate to mount to the wall mount which has a 100mmx100mm hole pattern. I bought a wall mount and these all use a max bolt size of M6 - well this TV uses M8 bolts and I had to drill out a larger hole size in the adapter plate to accept the M8 bolt. I also had to purchase the larger bolts (a minor cost). Not a big deal but you will need to be aware of this if you are mounting on a wall.
Also consider getting the Samsung wireless network adapter. Works very well to connect to Internet TV.
