The 2TB eGo Jet Black Desktop Hard Drive from Iomega is USB 2.0 hard drive, ideal for desktop use. The drive features a stunning design highlighted by a perforated facade and Iomega's Jet Black color scheme.
The Iomega Protection Suite, which is available via download, includes a 1-year subscription to Trend Micro Internet Security, as well as EMC Retrospect Express Backup software, Iomega QuikProtect, and access to the MozyHome Online Backup service. The drive is compatible with Windows and Mac computer systems.

True plug and play. No setup issues, no worries. The only drawback is that it's 1.81 TB rather than the 2TB it's sold as. (worth one star) That being said, it's still a good value. No regrets.

I have a 1T that filled up. So I got a 2T.. The 1T is an Iomega that is a wonderful external hard drive so it only made sense to get another Iomega. It's very fast when I go to store and retrieve data. When this one fills up I'll get another Iomega.

I purchased two of these drives to use as rotating off-site backups. I had no trouble plugging them in and writing files to them. It was plug and play (I use a PC). The drives were quiet and did not get hot after an hour plus of continuous use. I only gave them 4 stars because I have no way to evaluate their long term durability.

I am using this product for home-office use, for offline storage from the Toshiba Satellite A305 laptop. Utilizing both the IOMEGA QuickProtect and the V.Clone. Very easy installation and excellent daily synchronization of all changes to the main drive. Very attractive design and very quite operation. This is by far a superior product compare to the Western Digital MyBook series which I own and will never buy again. Planning to buy more of the IOMEGA external drives for home media storage.

I have a MacBook with OS10.5 - the Iomega installed fine - no hassles at all and transferring my data to it has been fast and simple.
I like that it has an on/off switch so that I can choose when to leave it on or for my Mac to bother reading it.

I am using this drive for video editing. So far, I have had no problems. I use it on a Mac and reformatting the drive was simple and easy and only took about 15 seconds. The drive is pretty quiet and seems to work quickly. I've only been using it for about a week now, but I have had no problems so far. The drive is compact and fits easily right next to my computer. This seemed like the best drive for the cost from the research I've done, and I'm happy with it.

solid build, decent write speeds, storage galore. i purchased this for music and movie storage to share between my desktops and laptops outside my home network. this is a well built external drive, not as ugly as the other drives out there. very quiet, even when accessing files on the drive you rarely hear anything, but this may also factor into the only con about the product, it gets a little warm. i would definately recommend this to anyone looking for a external mass storage device
