The Olympus UFL-1 Strobe w/ Ultralight Bracket is designed for use with Olympus digital cameras and underwater housings. Waterproof to 131' (40m), this underwater flash allows TTL exposure control in slave mode. When shooting in manual there is full and 1/2 power settings. This makes multiple flash applications and single flash macro photography easy. It is best to use the optional fiber optic cord for a flood free connection. The fiber optic cable transmits light from the camera's built in flash to the slave sensor on the strobe.
As you go deeper underwater the blue color of the water filters out all the beautiful reds, oranges, and other colors. Using an external flash close to your subject brings back the true vibrant colors of the underwater world. The camera's internal flash is too close to the lens and will cause a snow like effect called back-scatter. So the UFL-1 is the perfect way to light up the underwater world.
The included Ultralight bracket, handle, clamp, and 3.5" long YS mount allows you to easily attach the strobe to your housing. This versatile system allows you to position the strobe for best possible lighting.

Comments about Olympus UFL-1 Underwater Strobe, w/ Ultralight Bracket:
I've had my Olympus camera and housing for a few years now and decided to add on the strobe to get better quality pictures while diving. The UFL-1 Underwater Strobe is a great little flash. I no longer have the speckles in my pictures when diving in the Gulf off the coast of FL. I hope it works as well with bringing back color when I dive in the Caribbean.

Comments about Olympus UFL-1 Underwater Strobe, w/ Ultralight Bracket:
Just did a few wreck dives with this unit on a PT-048 Olympus housing....works very good, small compact and light. Fitment for a right hander is a bit akward, as I had to flip the base around which allows camera to turn no matter how tight you tighten it. A very simple fix makes it much better, a stainless star washer between the base and housing. I recommend this set-up. The strobe has very little adjustments but turns out good lighting.

Comments about Olympus UFL-1 Underwater Strobe, w/ Ultralight Bracket:
Took it diving in Roatan and it performed well for a small flash, especially in the macro mode and the 1 to 3 foot range. Would not recommend for longer range. I used it in conjunction with an Olympus FE 3010 camera. Bracket and arm were well made and easy to put together.
