I had a Nikon CoolPix L18 but it broke after it was dropped so I decided to buy another Nikon because I was very pleased with camera. And again, I am delighted with this camera too. The pictures are generally great quality and the settings make it easy to take pictures. There are also many useful settings that are easy to use and help enhance the picture. A negative though is that it takes a long time for the camera to take the picture, then process it. Also the pictures don't turn out so clear sometimes. All in all, I'm pretty pleased with it and I would buy it again!

This is a good camera for the price. It takes decent pics with adequate sunlight or with flash, but don't expect to get a good picture at night with no flash. This is the second of this kind of camera I've owned... don't spill tea on it or your zoom will stick ha! If you want a decent camera for a low price, this is the perfect choice. But if want a GREAT camera and can spend a little more, you'll be better off buying something a little nicer. I also LOVE the color.

Comments about Nikon CoolPix S3000 Digital Camera (Orange):
I bought this product as a gift for a friend. She was in dire need of an upgrade but she isn't the most tech savvy person either.
This camera was perfect for her. Simple to use and the orange color looked great. She loved it.
I was able to play around with it a little bit before I wrapped it. Even being refurbished the camera looked new. It took decent pictures and the facial recognition worked pretty good. I did notice that it had a bit of a lag when moving it quickly and the shutter speed slowed down in low light areas. The zoom also was a bit slow to zoom in and out.
Over all it was a good purchase. All accessories were included along with the manual and software.

3.) It has an Li-ion rechargeable battery
4.) I can select the format size of the stored pictures (i.e. 480 X 640, etc., etc.)
5.) It has a flash override function
6.) 12MP capacity

It has lots of features, easy to use, and a relatively good shutter response time when it is not trying to figure stuff out like face detection or what to "focus" on. Just don't expect it to be as fast as a SLR.
