The Nikon Coolpix L22 Digital Camera (Blue) produces images with up to 12.0 megapixels of resolution, and incorporates a 3.6x zoom lens. The 37 to 134mm telephoto coverage gets you close to the action while capturing expansive landscapes.
Shooting in low light is not a problem with Nikon's exclusive 3-way VR Image Stabilization technology that utilizes Electronic VR Image Stabilization, along with Motion Detection, and the exclusive Best Shot Selector (BSS). This ensures that your photos will always look great - regardless of lighting conditions or subject movement. If your subject is better seen in motion, the camera captures high quality movies with sound.
For difficult image situations the camera offers 16 different scene modes. If you are not sure which to choose Easy Auto Mode with Scene Auto Selector lets the camera automatically select the best setting to get great picture. I purchesed two of the Coolpix L22 pocket size digital cameras as Christmas presents. One was for my grandson who is in the military and the other for my wife who was always borrowing my D90 and under utilizing its capabilities. My grandson loved his and started snapping off pictures right away but my wife was a bit disappointed at first.She did't feel that the quality of the pictures was up to standards, that is until she downloaded them onto her computer. Wow, the colors popped and the images were crystal clear. Once she learned to use a little patience and "read the directions", she has become a real fan. One must remember not to move the camera prematurely as there is a slight shutter delay. Of course the fact that my 6 year old grandaughter caught on right away was a real inspiration for my wife.

I love this camera! I never really used a camera much before and wasn't very good at taking pictures. This camera's features make even my shaky hands take amazing shots. I love all of the settings for the lighting and the scene. I took a lot of pictures in the snow and they turned out like a professional shot. Also, the battery life is incredible. I just put in the generic batteries that came with the camera in it and the life lasted for about 200 pictures and 40 videos. I also did a lot of deleting and setting changing, so the battery life really is spectacular. I couldn't have bought a better product.
