Not bad
The firewire connection is good.
I didn't like or need the software that was preloaded. Otherwise it worked fine.

Comments about Western Digital 320GB My Passport Studio Portable Hard Drive:
We buy about 3-6 of these a week and use them to deliver video footage to clients. They come with three cables (800, 800-400, micro USB), and the firewire 800 at this price point is great. The LCD screen is easy to rename and makes it easy to keep track of what's on the drive (we use reference #'s)

slick design. goes well with my macbook pro. the western digital software that goes along with the drive allows you to see what type of files (videos, music, pictures)you have on both your macbook and the portable hard drive. all the cables you need are included, usb, firewire 400 and 800. that drive looks serious. a good buy. allways trusted western digital.

Straight out of the box I was able to plug & play. The firewire 800 connection cuts my transfer time in half. It has a simple, sleek design and a digital label to let you separate it from your other drives. Software is not necessary, but easy to navigate.

It is really silly to try to rate a product that is designed for long-term storage after two weeks. It whirs, it clunks and the tires seem firm when you kick it.
