I have had an experience here with some Blu Ray Players... I first bought an LG BD-570 and It was skipping about 30 minutes into several movies (after updating software). I then returned this and did some additional research and found the Samsung BD-6900. The first player I received worked great with easy set up and all, but when I went to play a disc it just kept ejecting them saying bad disc... Bad luck I assumed. Once I received the second BD-6900 though, It worked great!! The picture quality is amazing and it seems to load Blu Ray and DVD's very fast! (compared to the LG) so far I have Hulu Plus set up and Pandora, and have watched several movies. I have had no problems with streaming via Hulu Plus, but I have not tried Netflix. So far this has been a great purchase!

After a long search for a good overall stand alone blu-ray player, I selected this and have been quite happy with the decision so far (about 4 weeks).The C6900 loads and plays discs very quickly. I find the menu user-friendly compared to some reviews I had read on various sites. The image is clean and smooth.I am very happy with the internet streaming capabilities as well. I have the unit remotely connected via a wireless Linksys 802.11b/g/n router that is about 40-45 feet away in a lower level of our home and have perfect streaming (e.g. Netflix, my laptop). Set up for the wireless connection was a bit trickier than I had hoped for, but much of that was determining the correct security key(s) to use and the way my router is/was set up. The user manual(s) and instructions are very good and clear.I have not yet used the player for .jpg or .mp3 discs. However, I did look over some photos and videos from my laptop via the wireless connection and the quality was terrific.[...]Only con: wish there were more USB slots.

Great player, great value, as advertised!!! One review indicated that if you stopped a DVD or shut the player down, it would not remember where you were in the DVD. That is untrue. The ONLY reason I gave this player 4 stars is to encourage Samsung to START INCLUDING HDMI CABLES!!!!! The player comes with RCA cables...get real Samsung! Expect to pay an additional $20-$70 on the HDMI cables required to get the HD experience you would expect from this "HD DVD player"...LAME.[...]

The setup and installation are incredibly easy. For the price, this blu-ray player has a SUPER FAST disc loading speed. My previous blu-ray player sometimes took up to 5 min to load a disc, but this one is able to load the disc in a matter of seconds. The menus and apps are all great. Netiflix, Hulu, all streaming video has an INCREDIBLE image quality. For anyone who goes from watching streaming Netflix on their computer to an HDTV, you will have your mind blown. For this price range I'd say this player goes above and beyond any others. For real!
The only bad thing about the player itself is the fact that you still have to use the number pad on the remote control as your keyboard, kind of like the same way you would write a text message in 2003. But it's not a huge distraction.

My initial set up has the BD directly connected through HDMI to the TV (Samsung UN55C8000). Samsung's BDwise technology takes care of optimum settings automatically (resolution, frame rate) depending on source material (DVD, Bluray Disk) since connected to a compatible Samsung TV. Movies start realy fast compared to other BD I've seen
Wireless acces to network works perfectly with my old Lynksys WRT54G. The absence of keyboard make entering the text a bit tidious...
Only 1 HDMI output limits your options for connection to AV receiver...

I purchased this product after a bit of research for a Blu_Ray player with a fast reaction time. This turns out to be the fastest player I've seen. It loads most disc to the menu within 5-6 seconds. The BR-D player has great picture quality. The DVD upscaling is also very good. As an added bonus, it also comes with internet connectivity for Net Flix and Pandora.

Brought this blu-ray player since it was rated best for boot up and play speed. I was not disappointed! This thing is super fast! Blu-ray disc loads quickly and starts playing immediately within seconds. The player itself looks very stylish. Wifi works perfect in the basement with router on second floor.

I cant believe it hasn't frozen once in half a dozen Netflix wireless streams, I guess its using the hard drive to buffer. I thought I'd be running a cat5 cable by now. Haven't watched a disk yet. It's worth the money just for streaming netflix and pandora.
Netflix didn't work until a series of upgrades were installed but it prompted for them.
