The Canon PowerShot SD1300 IS Digital ELPH Camera (Pink) features a 12.1MP CCD imaging sensor and an optically stabilized 4x UA (Ultra High Refractive Index Aspherical) zoom lens, which covers an equivalent focal range of 28-112mm without compromising the narrow profile Canon Digital EPLHs are known for. And for composing, reviewing, and editing your photos, the SD1300 IS features a bright 2.7" (230,000-dot) PureColor System LCD.
Canon's PowerShot SD1300 captures still images in a choice of 6 JPEG file sizes (including 16:9) as well as AVI video clips up to 60 minutes (or 4GB per clip) with mono sound.
For fuss-free shooting, Canon's Smart AUTO mode automatically analyzes the scene and sets the best exposure based on 18 predefined shooting situations. For shooting under low lighting conditions, the ISO sensitivity of the PowerShot SD1300 IS can be dialed up to 1600, and when shooting in Low Light mode, expanded as high as an equivalent of ISO 6400.
Other image enhancing features found on the Canon PowerShot SD1300 IS include a DIGIC 4 image processor, Intelligent Contrast Correction, Motion Detection Technology, Face Detection Self-timer, Red-eye Correction, AF/AE/FE/WB Face Detection, and a Face Detection Self-timer that enables you to get your own smiling face into family portraits.
The Canon PowerShot SD1300 IS records images onto your choice of SD/SDHC/SDXC Memory Card, MultiMediaCard, MMC Plus Card, HC MMC Plus memory cards up to 16GB (not included) and powers off a rechargeable NB-6L lithium-ion battery, which is good for about 240 images-per-charge or about 7 hours of playback time.
The PowerShot SD1300 IS Digital ELPH is equipped with the acclaimed Canon Optical Image Stabilizer, which automatically detects and corrects camera shake - one of the leading causes of fuzzy or blurred shots. Even when zoomed in, you can get the steady, crisp, brilliant images you'll be proud to shoot and share. And the Canon Optical Image Stabilizer technology is so convenient to use. It functions perfectly with or without a flash.

Comments about Canon PowerShot SD1300 IS Digital ELPH Camera (Pink):
This is my 5th ELPH and love it! It is an awesome camera at a fabulous price. I love that it is compact and fits in my purse so it can go with me and my family everywhere. I got some great shots of Shamu this past weekend. It does have a little shutter delay, but still a great product.

Comments about Canon PowerShot SD1300 IS Digital ELPH Camera (Pink):
I bought this camera for my mom who is technology challenged. I played with it a lot before I gave it to her. This camera is very simple and easy to use and it is small enough to fit in a pocket. I love the large LCD screen, too. The one thing I didn't like is that it does have a bit of a shutter delay. It is fine for my mom who just uses it occassionally and usually for landscapes and posed shots.

I use the product basically everyday, from shooting cute little pictures of my family, to taking my camera out with me at night & capturing memories with all of my friends! I also take videos and make video internet blogs! Its so slim and cute i can slip it in my little handbag! The quality is also great! The only problems are the flash sometimes doesn't go off & its out of focus, but those rarely heppen. I'm SO happy with this product!

Comments about Canon PowerShot SD1300 IS Digital ELPH Camera (Pink):
We haves had a Canon PowerShot (SD200) for about 6 years and it was time to catch up with the design improvements. The SD 1300 Digital Elph looks like it has all the good features of it's predecessor, with some improvements. The new screen is about twice the size as the old one and the most important difference – 12.1 megapixels (up from 3.2). [...] Overall, the SD 1300 looks like another great little camera and we're looking forward to many years of great photos.

My wife lost her old beloved 1100 SD, and needed a new camera for a trip ... she is happy with it !
Great little camera - as all the Canon Digitals are ... this is at least our 5th Elph (the others gone with the kids, the wind ...)
Highly recommended ! Simple, easy, no fuss, great picture quality !
