The first issue started when it took me around 12 to get the thing installed on my computer. I kept running into error messages and it just was a pain to install. Once I got it on there I wish I hadn't. The software is mediocre at best and takes way too many tries to get the desired video output. I ended up returning it, but I wasted a few days on it.

This product works exactly as advertised. Not a lot of bell and whistles, but it certainly gets the job done. I would recommend it to somebody as a simple product that nearly anybody can use right out of the box to transfer home movies.

had mine about 2-3 weeks and it stopped recording. no signal or sound. my pc exceeds the requirements. and terrible tech support. they will not even make an effort to replace the capture card.

I wanted to convert some old VHS to digital files. I was hesitant to buy this product b/c of mixed reviews but ultimately decided to take the plunge. The product worked pretty much as advertised. I did have to tweak the equipment a little bit to get it to work, but nothing technical. I would say it only took about 10 minutes to go from opening the box to recording to my computer.

Works OK but it'll take you days to get one VHS tape to a DVD...I've yet to get one good copy of a tape and I've had this for almost a month now.
If you save them as a WMV file you can watch them on your computer but try and burn to CD ... good luck!

Tried this software on three different computers with two different OSs (XP and Vista). Never could get it to work. Program froze and/or crashed, or simply wouldn't recognize the VHS signal. Sent it back for a refund.
